Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Yep. Pretty much Houston is offering an MLE to Ariza like we would. But hey, why would someone want to play with LeBron & Shaq on a 66 win team? It makes much more sense to go to Houston......Comment

Allen Iverson and Ron Artest have been contacted by Pat Riley in the opening days of free-agency negotiations, league sources said Thursday. Riley entered the start of the free agency negotiating period Wednesday saying he would be reluctant to spend the $5.5 million mid-level exception because the Heat already was past the league's anticipated dollar-for-dollar luxury tax on excessive payrolls.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
I can't find anything saying it's a done deal. All I've seen was that LA was turning it's attention to QB now but haven't heard or seen anything that says they've agreed to a deal.#RespectTheCultureComment

Here's what Ron said on twitter:
"Yeah, I'm signing with LA. Not the Lakers, though. The Sparks. The money's not great but they say I can get down w/ Candace Parker."
The dynasty will return

Ron Artest has told Ken Berger of CBSSports.com that he will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. "I'm definitely going to L.A. -- to sign, yeah," Artest said in a phone interview. "Lakers, Lakers, Lakers. I'm in L.A. right now." Artest said he met with Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss Thursday and previously had spoken with Lakers coach Phil Jackson. He was en route to his financial manager's office, where he planned to huddle on the phone with his agent, David Bauman, to finalize details. The parameters of the deal still need to be agreed upon, however. "I don't really care about the money," Artest said. "I'll play there for nothing. ... L.A. was very interested in me, and they got me."#RespectTheCultureComment

I think Artest is still messing with people's minds. I don't think he's made a decision yet.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment
