Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread

If Trev leaves I'm assuming Ron is the target.

After Ron, I'd make a run at Hill or Barnes.. nobody else really out there.

Ron wants a big pay day IMO. I don't believe he's ever gotten one. I remember him saying explicitly in an interview that he's not really interested in taking the MLE just to come to a team like LA. That was last Summer.

If Trev signs in CLE I believe Ron will either stay in HOU or come to LA for the MLE.

Apparently, Ron is willing to play for the MLE as long as it's a title contending team. One year deal only, though.

Well that's better than having Walton start, or the 'stache. I like Odom coming off the bench, more effective that way.

Don't forget Delonte has some anger issues, and Mo had a history of locker room problems in MIL. Talk about get yo popcorn ready...I don't even think the late great Chuck Daly could handle that bunch.

I'm betting we end up with Barnes, Kleiza, or maybe Channing Frye.

lol that video about Ariza leaving LA said that the Clippers were interested. I would roll on the floor and laugh so hard if he went to play for the other LA team just to smite the Lakers.

Yeah, that would be hilarious, especially if he dusts off his locust game. Or maybe a nice famine...

In other news Chris Bosh just bought a penthouse suite in downtown New York and Jay Triano has an appointment set for 11 AM at the centre for addiction and mental health in Toronto to see if he can have Bryan Colangelo commited. Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke is expected to be named temporary GM by the end of the week.

"Hey we can't give a huge over paid contract to a guy with career averages of 12.3 PPG,4.2 RPG and 2.7 APG so let's give it to a guy with career averages of 6.9 PPG,3.8 RPG and 1.3 APG who didn't even average 10 PPG last season when we're badly in need of scoring instead!"

                                My god

League sources indicated early Thursday that the Raptors are contemplating an offer to restricted free agent David Lee.

Any offer to Lee, by definition, would be in the $8-$10 million range and would test the Knicks in terms of their willingness to match a hefty offer.

Toronto is still considering whether or not to attempt to beat Portland's offer for Hedo Turkoglu.
