7 million...Nothing more nothing less...And even that might be a stretch..

If he asks for 10 he's crazy, but someone will give it to him.

      Artest's Return to
      Rockets Unlikely

HOUSTON - NBA sources told FOX 26 Sports Wednesday it is unlikely free agent forward Ron Artest will return to the Houston Rockets.

League sources told FOX 26 the Rockets would be willing to offer Artest a one-year contract at best. The sources said because of that the chances of Artest resigning with Houston are remote.

Artest's agent, David Bauman, who has not been available for comment, said Tuesday Artest's first preference is to return to the Rockets. However, if that was not possible, Artest wanted to play for a team that will compete for a championship.

Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has not been available for comment for this story.

The Rockets acquired Artest in a trade with Sacramento last July.

I know it has zero % chance of every happening...but if the Raptors could convince Ron Ron to come up north to play ball. I'd be a very happy man.

So ESPN is saying Ariza leaning on leaving the Lakers because LA only offer 5.6 million..... We better come higher than that. We can't let Ariza go.

According to Broussard "Cavaliers have a great shot right now" *referring to Ariza.*

Man, that would be quite the coup.

And according to Artest's brother (for whatever that's worth), LA is in the lead for Artest. Twitter makes things so complicated, lol

I don't think you'll have to worry about it.

I do think that he'll go west, though. Maybe someone like the Warriors or maybe even Phoenix?

I know one thing, it's a damn shame that kid has a shredded knee...he's one hell of a player.

                            Artest is leaving HOU

They only offered him a 1 year deal so he's as good as gone

Apparently Mike Brown met with Ariza today with Ferry, who were both in LA. I guess Ariza is really offended that the Lakers only offered the MLE.

                                Brian Windhorst Twitter:

Cavs in thick of it for Artest, Ariza or R.Wallace.Though I get the impression Ariza may be trying to sweeten LAL offer. 2moro may be wild
