Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Honestly no contender should want him, and I doubt any of them do. Hell I would venture to say no playoff team wants him.
I also doubt AI wants to go to some crap team just because. Unless he tells GM's around the league that he has completely changed I wouldn't want him on my team. Sorry. Maybe 6-8 years ago. Not now.
Edit: And HOU meets with Gortat
Daryl Morey kicked off the 2010 free agency with a Tweet just minutes before midnight announcing that he is set to meet with Marcin Gortat.
"Meeting in a few w/ Gortat," wrote the Rockets general manager. "Send a note to him NOW at [email protected]. He will receive. Show him how much we want him in Red!"
This is the first offseason in the Twitter era and it has already changed the way information is disseminated and for what purpose.Last edited by ex carrabba fan; 07-01-2009, 12:08 AM.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Kinda sucks losing Lee but oh well, he's got to get paid and while he's a nice player A) we blow B) he's not a big enough difference maker to pursue.
I hope he goes to the Thunder, he will fit in better there. Memphis has a crowded front court and Lee is somewhat of a junk-type of player similar to Gasol.
Gordon to Detroit just doesn't seem like a typical Dumars move. You've got Stuckey who's not a true PG and Gordon who's an undersized SG, seems like the begining to a recipe for disaster. Looks like BG's move of rejecting Chicago's offer last summer will pay off for him.
Still waiting on some CV news, nice to see two UConn alums at the top of the FA news."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Sorry, but when I think of that "Going to work" motto, I don't think of BG and Charlie V. And I really like CV as a player...Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
If anybody can tell me what Joe Dumars is doing, let me know. He's going to have a really tough time trading Hamilton and his huge contact. He's going to have two, undersized chuckers in the backcourt and two of the skinniest forwards in the league. Plus, who's the center? Kwame Brown? They should be going after David Lee and/or Paul Milsap, not Gordon and Charlie V.Comment

Can someone tell me what's the point of having this thread if people are still going other threads about players going to other teams?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
If Detroit snags away CV, I'll be upset. I mean, there are others in FA that we could nab... but if we could get CV and McDyess, then I would be a happy man. McDyess isn't the player that he once was, but I'll take his veteran presence and positive lockerroom attitude to mentor JJ Hickson anyday. Hopefully we can somehow nab both guys.
What about our wing position? Other than Barnes and Daniels, who would fit w/ our Wine & Gold?Twitter - WTF_OS
