Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Yeah, and he's the type to either: a) take less money to go get a ring and play with LeBron/Shaq or b) remain fiercely loyal to the Rockets, especially if he thinks he'll be the star since Yao/T-Mac will be out most of the year. Ron-Ron's kind of a weird guy... hard to tell what he's thinking. If I had to guess, I'd say that he'll be in Houston again next year, and similarly to his Kings days, basically carrying the load offensively and defensively. He seems really loyal to the Rockets for whatever reason.. maybe because they took a chance on him when he was still bad press and they were able to use him effectively enough to get the Rockets to the 2nd round... either way, that'd still be my guess.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
If I'm Bosh and Toronto is thinking about signing Turk to 12 million for 5 years, I know I'm gone next year.
That signing would ruin a man's prime years. Turk wasn't worth 12 million this year, and I can't imagine what he'll be like in 3-5 years. This would leave them with few, if any options other than resigning their current players.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Maybe HOU can offer him more? Im not sure but why would he want to go back to another team that cant win if he really is a competitor?
If both Boston and CLE are both calling you have to listen to that and see what they offer, because his chances to win a ring will never get any betterComment

There is no way he is staying in TO. We will sign and trade him so he gets paid his 30 million and goes to a destination of his choice...Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Artest is a 3 who sometimes plays the 2 spot. Where would he exactly fit in on the Celtics roster with Pierce and Allen obviously having those two spots on lockdown. Is he going to come off the bench and just play 20-25 minutes a game or something? Artest is still a solid 35-38 MPG kind of player IMO.Comment

Ben Gordon signs with the Pistons.. 5/55
The Pistons have reached a deal in principle with Ben Gordon, a source with knowledge of talks tells Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal is believed to be worth $55 million over five years.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
btw, this deal makes 0 SENSE. 0. Unless Rip or Prince are being traded. Why tie up so much money into your wing positions without any big men?Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Weird day. Chicago throws a bunch of money at Detroit's star hockey player who has a history of gagging in the postseason, and Detroit throws a bunch of money at Chicago's star basketball player with a history of being allergic to defense.
Neat. I suppose the equally defenseless Villanueva will be next.Comment
