    talk about narcissism.
As much as I am invested in Lebron and the Cavs, I totally agree with you.

Totally agree 100%. Didn't want to be the one to say it and have people call me a *****, but I'll gladly second, third, the notion. LeBron's entering - no, LeBron's surpassed Favre now on the Attention Wh*re scale IMO.

Yeah it's pretty sad. I'm a big fan of what LeBron does on a basketball court but off the court he comes off as a conceited, arrogant asshat.

I disagree with you because the nba is entertainment. Lebron is not breaking any laws. People feed into it to much. Lebron can do whatever he wants. He is easily top 3 best basketball players on this planet. If thats not enough reason for you, I don't know what to tell you. Great thread very entertaining.

And that alone is the reason I'm hoping Kevin Durant soon becomes the best player in the NBA. I very much doubt his head would inflate as much as LeBron has.

He's truly a great player, but the way he's handled his current situation is flat out ridiculous. A one hour tv special? Madness.

1 more thing here because I already made my point. We are talkin KING JAMES. Now I understand if you don't think hes a king and I understand why you might think he is ( place your insults here ) But I 150% disagree. We are talkin Lebron James! Not joe joe johnson. Not even Paul Pierce ( yes I know he has a ring and he is one of the best in the nba right now) But Lebron James is the man. I believe he is sincere. I think he is intelligent. I like the way he is unselfish. I think he is a mega star. I think he deserves to be in the best postion for him, not a city. After all you have to look out for yourself first unless you got a family. But Let me be clear, the Nba is not family. It's entertainment driven by money. But I do believe bron bron is havin some major fun and LOVIN the exposure he is gettin. But IMO he is on a planet with so many few people, I'm gonna let him ride on this one. But I can see where you are coming from, I just sit on the opposite side of the room on this one.

I agree with your 100% and i hate saying it. Lebron is taking this farther then what is really needed. I have nothing to base this one but the more i think about the more i think he is going to stay in Cleveland.

Anyone else feel he's going to play the hat game like high school kids do?

No one knows where this will be televised from, that would obviously be a big clue. If he does it in Cleveland/Akron and doesn't stay here, he may not get out of the city alive. LOL

Etiher way, the arrogance sickens me.

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread

I'm not gonna hold it against LBJ if he was raised being told that he was the best, in his own home. That seems to be the deciding factor here. When you hear Durrant talk about how his mother told him "good game, BUT you haven't accomplished anything, keep working at it, etc." it kept him humble.

A lot of the time when you have humble athletes it seems like you can trace that back to their up bringing. If LBJ was told as a kid that he was the best and praised, then he get's to be on the cover of SI at 18 being called "The Chosen One," and then he puts in 7 great years in the NBA...he's going to have a huge ego.

I can deal with an egomaniacal sports megastar as long as he's not out raping people, and getting arrested in strip clubs, getting drunk and getting behind the wheel of a car only to kill someone, or try to use his family in his PR campaign to repair the public image that he single handedly destroyed.

Doesn't seem like LBJ was raised with a sense of humility and that isn't completely his fault, but at least he has his head on somewhat straight. Raising money during this fiasco and giving it all to charity is a cool move. I just don't get how some of the most egomaniacal folks on the internet can point a finger at someone else for having an ego, and don't give me the line of "well am I having an hour long special to announce anything?" because not having the means to do something isn't the same as not doing it if you could.

Well he's pretty damn big since he has team executives flying out to his house, along with certain teams setting themselves up the past two years just to have the opportunity to sign him.

                          So, he thinks.

I don't really care what he thinks, he's not bigger than the league!

He needs to think of the past and future, not himself. Let's have a little respect for the game of basketball and the league that he plays under.

Would Jordan, Bird and Magic pull this stunt?

Heck, while we are at it, let's throw a parade in the city he chooses and call it King James Day. Maybe we can have a national holiday once a year for King James.

No, they wouldn't. But we live in a much different world today than when they were playing. Hell Bird probably wouldn't even tell anyone, we'd read about it in the paper.
