Seems like LeBron and his camp are just having fun with people right now, intentionally spreading these rumors is my guess. Pathetic, if so.

WOW! SO I guess Derrick Rose is just chopped liver?

When did I say anything bad about Rose? All I said is that With Bron surrounded by Rose, Deng, Boozer, and Noah, defenses could sag off everyone and force those 4 to shoot jumpers and Chicago would probably have some struggles with it. They have the most talent, but they're probably the worst fit for Lebron.

If you told me for Lebron to be a Sixer, I had to allow Ruben Patterson to be around my daughter ( if I actually had kids) with no one around for one hour. I would drive her to his house faster than it takes ESPN to report another untrue rumor.

Love the thread. Love the passion about sports on this site. It's kinda funny to me though how some people on here are callin out Lebron James and attacking his character while at the same time adding fuel to the fire by making such a big deal about this with thousands of replies.

I will always remember my first couple weeks here at OS as those where the days That Lebron James Chose to be A New York Knick and become the man that the Knicks always needed. I can't wait to watch all the games on MSG with KING JAMES.

I feel for cleveland though. I don't understand how you could HATE someone for wanting to go to a new team though. I think People that are real Lebron supporters will support him at whatever he does. Maybe not at first but as time goes by.

And if the Knicks don't get him. All the true Knicks fans will still go to the games, watch them on tv, and support them anyway they can. It's been a tuff decade for us Knicks fans. I don't see how someone couldnt see that. But instead you have some haters. I guess thats what comes with wearing a New York Jersey. You would think people would realize it's our turn to win championships. We are a sleeping giant. And it looks like we woke up


To all the Knicks fans. We are back. They can still degrade, laugh, and mock us if they want. But if we get Lebron it's going to turn into fear for some. I would love for that to happen. I wanna see the Knicks go at it with Miami, and Chicago. I have wanted this all along. It's been a bad dream.

Honestly...I think a trio of Wade-Bosh-James would kill interest in the NBA long term.

We'd lose all the natural rivalries...instead of the eras great players in Wade and LBJ battling it out, they'd be teamed. The East would be destroyed for the forseeable future and, aside from an inevitable showdown v LA next season, there'd be little interest in the playoffs.

Throw in that Miami is a tiny market with few real fans...throw in that the "chosen one" becomes a tail rider...damm it would be bleak.

Worst case scenario imo.

To be honest; this entire free agent process has me not like some of the players involved as much anymore; I couldn't take how Bosh was piggybacking Wade and Lebron. It just showed how much of a joke certain media outlets have become when it comes to reporting about the NBA and how ridiculous some fans can get about it. I enjoyed reading up on everything and discussing on here especially since baseball hasn't gotten me real excited this year. But in the process, how much I root for certain guys has diminished with the exception of Durant; for which my respect increases every day.

Exactly. I've followed basketball all my life and i don't know anyone who doesn't have a place in their heart for Jordan / Magic / Kareem / Dream / Larry...even if they hated them as rivals.

I hardly know anyone who actually likes any of the current guys...LBJ and D-Wade had a responsibility to maintain the L and it's rep.

Dudes are killing it right now with this crap.

Yeah I agree, I hope he doesn't go the Heat. For the NBA from a pure ratings perspective, Lebron going to the Knicks is their best case scenario just because it effectively makes it that the NBA has a relevant team in every geographical region.

I really hope he stays in Cleveland. If he were going to be in Miami, it would have been a great show of solidarity and unity with Bosh and Wade to announce with them rather than plan to have his own day to do just that. That would show that he sees them as equals and not just "The help". I think that would get them off to terrible start in Miami from a chemistry stand point if he were to announce he was going there in that fashion.

I don't know who this guy's advisors/handlers are but they are pathetic imo and the last few years (nike camp video, larry king, this fiasco) have done nothing but damage this guys image in my eyes and in many of my friends' eyes as well. His behavior during/after games on the court and/or in post game press conferences have not helped him either. For someone who seems to value what others think of him so much, it's hard to believe that he and his advisors can't comprehend what they have been doing lately does more harm than good.

I pray that Lebron fires who ever is helping him now and takes more of a humble approach after this whole drama is done.
