Shaq was brought in to be that big presence in the middle they didn't have against Howard. The same Shaq some are saying would be a great presence for the Heat if LBJ goes there now. This is also the same Shaq who was arguably the best player on the court toward the end of the playoffs.

The year the Celtics won the championship Gasol was called soft and if the Lakers lost this year, Odom would've had that title... Artest would've been called washed up. Instead Fisher is getting praised while Mo is getting criticized, and for some reason Ray Allen is being called a HOFer. Bottom line is if the Cavs won a championship then Jamison would be getting the same praise Gasol is now getting and Mo would be talked about like Rondo. They lost and LBJ is great so therefore they all suck. Makes no sense.

Lets be real, the last 2 years the Cavs have lost to the two teams that have represented their conference in the finals. They didn't get bounced by 8 seeds that squeaked into the playoffs. Being good enough to win a championship and actually doing it are two different things when there are other teams that are pretty damn good too. Did the Celtics suck last year bc they didn't make it back to the championship? Did the Magic suck this year bc they didn't? Is it a video game mentality that you just throw a bunch of players together and a championship is inevitable?
Its one thing to play well and lose. It's another thing to completely disappear when it's playoff times.

Fisher is well proven, Gasol is a top 3 7'er, and they both Artest in for defense and thats exactly what he did.

As far as the Magics, Boston just matched up great against them.

Like I said it's not just winning and losing that makes LeBron teammates bad it's there performance.

I'm no longer a fan because he quit in his team, but I know damn well he alone is the reason the Cavs had consecutive 60 win seasons.

OK for the sake of the agruement he quit that one game. What about every other playoff game for the pass three season?

I hate the "(insert number)games played" stat because all that tells you is that they played in the game but it doesn't tell if you that player really made anytime of impact(unless you're just looking at PPG). Just my personal reason for why I hate it lol.

First off, I'm only talking about last year, because that team is relevant to this conversation, not the team before last year, since it was totally different. Second, I don't see how you're proving me wrong when you're proposing that the Magic--minus Dwight Howard--would make the playoffs with two of their remaining starters missing a combined 27 games. That is exactly my point. You take Nelson/Lewis missing almost 30 games, plus Lewis' slow start and Nelson's recovery from the time he missed with the shoulder, and that team does not beat out the Chicago Bulls for the final playoff spot.

Proving wrong that they're healthy? How about the biggest defensive presence in the league is taken off the team... and the offense is built with a bunch of perimeter players that get open bc of doubling him. Remember how the Celtics didn't have to double team Howard and the others struggled to score? LBJ is better than Howard, no doubt. But that team is built around Howard much like the Cavs are built around James. Any team built around one player will take a big hit if you remove that player.

Ok, now taking PPM's lead bc this is a tired argument that should've been buried when it came up during the playoffs.

Last season was the only year with the current team, so it's the only one that matters. If Lebron was still playing with Eric Snow, Donyell Marshall and Larry Hughes, this would be a different conversation.

It don't matter if it was 1 game or 100 games. You don't quit on your teammates PERIOD, regardless of the situation. You do and be prepared to suffer any backlash that'll be coming your way, which will be well deserved REGARDLESS of WHO it is.

I really can't believe ya'll are really trying to justify him quitting on his team. And yes I know he wasn't the only one either and if you look at my posts in the past regarding this subject I've called them out as well so it's not just a case of "Oh you just don't like Lebron that's why you're blaming him".

I don't understand how people can say "Lebron" is good enough to win 60 games, by himself no less, and in the same breath say that "the team" is not good enough to win in the playoffs?

You cannot convince me that if your TEAM can win 60+ games in the regular season, two years straight, but your team is not good enough to win a championship.
