Re: This is what the G.O.A.T thinks of the LBJ show

I don't understand why all this criticism. LBJ chose to play in Miami with other stars - good for him! Make it a great team. LAL got Gasol for Kwame (+ draft picks), which is far far far worse for me, but since it's LA it's fine for everyone. If LBJ chose to play in LA with Kobe and Gasol, everyone would be excited for him and congratulate him...

I really hope LBJ and the Heat have a wonderful season and win it all...unless, of course, they want to lose to my Pistons in the playoffs, which is perfectly fine with me.

No...its because Jordan dominated the competition like no other. Jordan did it the cookie cutter way. And we might never see someone do what Jordan did. We might....but it was be a very long time before that happens again.

A similar thing could be said for Scottie or any other player in a similar position.

Unless one of you guys have a mystical crystal ball it's a pointless (yet still fun) debate. I agree about your love for Scottie though, he was close to my fav player in the league as well.

I think at the end of the day people remember winners so if LeBron and Co can win at least 3 titles they will go down in history as greats / winners (except in Cleveland where they will never let it go and rightly so).

Jordan's statements are completely off. How many nba finals did jordan make it to without pippen. Bosh = bird now

Do you think lebron would of left the cavs if he had phil jackson coaching and a player like scottie pippen not to mention dennis rodman, or horace grant helping out on the boards.

The lakers and celtics teams were stacked so they were winning already. There would be no reason for jordan to say magic, bird lets get together. Its not like the raptors and heat were winning titles, or the teams lebron could not beat.

You really can't say he was off, of course he didn't do it without Pippen, but you have to understand that Chicago built a team around Jordan, they traded for Pippen during the draft so no one knew how good of a player he would become, now if Pippen was a Super star with Seattle before going to Chicago then you could almost say it would be the same just you still couldn't compare it to Lebron leaving Cleveland because Jordan never left Chicago. Now if MJ left Chicago to play for Boston when Bird was there or to play with L.A. with Magic and Kareem then it would be the same situation.

From now on, any opinion/statement you EVER make, i will render completely irrelevant because of that completely erroneus bolded statement above. Congrats.

I swear...I wish we didn't have Jordan. The NBA was the Martix. Jordan would be "The One". Jordan did something that might never ever be seen again. Reading his comments were like listening to his Hall of Fame speech....I wanted to throw up.

You know one of the reason I've always liked LeBron. He always talks about "We". And to me... thats what basketball is about. If you don't have great teammates you just won't win.

Lets put aside the Chosen One, The King, and all that other BS. And lets just talk about the basketball side of things.

Yea people say he should signed with the Bulls if he wanted to win. But there so many other factors (not aloud to where a headband...lol jk). I think it came down to "Who was the coach?". Pat Riley coming to meetings with all five of his rings. That kind of experience the other teams just could not offer.

This whole situation is funny to me. Who cares what Jordan or anyone else for that matter has to say.

I agree with this, but think it's significant in the fact I really don't believe James thought the reaction to all of this would be so incredibly negative from not only the fans but other players, HOFers, GMs, etc. I think he thought it'd just be Cavs fans who were going to be upset with anything besides him staying in Cleveland. And don't get it twisted, this isn't about the Heat, Wade or Bosh... it's about Lebron and pretty clearly all comments are directed at him. Gonna be interesting to see the effect it has. The next time he looks comfortable in his own skin will be the first time since maybe early in the playoffs.

They went into that meeting basically saying that Riley wasn't going to coach cause Wade wanted Spolstra coaching so it didn't come down to coaching and I'd think Reinsdorf's six rings would trump Pat's five or would at the very least offer similar experience.

Point is the Bulls could offer the ability and actual experience of building a dynasty and not some plan of making a dynasty out of three guys and a bunch of other guys deciding they don't like making money for the next six-seven years to win those seven championships LeBron seems to already think he's won with this team. All I'm saying is if Wade is set on Spo coaching and those guys are all talking about Spo coaching them, then it didn't come down to coaching.

Another big factor was back then the organization did NOT bow to Jordan. They never consulted him on personnel moves and for good reason. He had some brutal ideas.

He was PISSED when they traded Oakley. There was constant conflict when he played here until the end. Hell it ended in conflict. But they let him be a player and not a GM or owner. And it worked. He could've taken his marbles and went home if he wanted to be a bitch about it. But he bought into it and look what happened.

This team was built and then rebuilt around him. Players should play, GM's should GM.
