What's done is done, I'm just saying an apology at this point and at any point would be hollow and meaningless. A national apology would only seem to admit guilt, he's not guilty of anything.

I don't really understand how his decision-making lacked class, it was on TV yes, but would've been on TV regardless if it was coming straight from his mouth or not. He's the most talked about player in the NBA, people wanted to see where he was going. Why is he wrong for telling people that straight from his mouth instead of ESPN reporting it. Yeah it was me, me, me but that's Lebron and how he's been forever, he's not changing that, he's not the first athlete with a gigantic ego and won't be the last.

Not calling Gilbert? Yeah maybe he should have done that, but he doesn't owe Gilbert anything. Gilbert paid him for 7 years, Lebron played for him for 7 years.

The fans? Lebron played his heart out for them for 7 years and they cheered for 7 years. How could he possibly show his appreciation for the love they've given him in a one page newspaper ad?

If a national press release saying he's sorry would make people in Cleveland feel better about the situation then they can keep hoping it's coming.

I have been saying this since "The Decision".

LeBron is such a jerk for having a controled press conference to announce his choice ,which every basketball fan wanted to know. Despite the 3 million he raised for boys & girls clubs.

The only possible difference between the decision and a press conference would be that the decision was sanctioned by Lebron. There still would have been an hour long special leading up to the press conference and New York, Cleveland, and Chicago fans would still be mad.



Of course we can see the huge difference. Nobody cared about Amare. He's a good player, but unless he was joining one of about 3 teams (of which New York is not included) he wasn't changing the NBA.

Lebron could have gone to Memphis or the Clippers and we'd be talking about a contender.

Can't defend Le Decision. He sought out ESPN to make this into some sort of made for TV program. It was pathetic and ridiculous.

The fact that he didn't think he owed his former owner even a courtesy call...

The dude definitely messed up with how he went about the process. I don't care if he's the best player in the world, you can't defend how he went out of his way to be a huge douche bag.

Meh, not a big deal or even an issue with me at least. Hell, if I'm nitpicking an Athlete, the LAST thing I'm going to get on him is his mouthpiece lol.

He's looking for attention. This much should have been obvious... Probably should have just come to the conclusion early on with the dancing, special, etc. Never ceases to amaze however.

Screw the TV show.

He quit in the playoffs and waited until the club could make no off season moves before giving them the courtsey of having one of his servants let them in on his intentions.

He screwed his home area franchise, literally...and gained absolutely nothing from it.

Defend that.
