    That's how you're justifying Kobe's alpha status?

    Totally makes sense.

Didn't see LeBron doing ANY of that last night whatsoever.

Oh yea, Kobe also has 2 finals MVP's where he WAS the alpha male. As much as I hate Kobe, I at least respect him.
C'mon now. It's not even up for debate whether or not Kobe quit. He definitely did in that series.

You're right, because dropping 50 the night before indicates a person trying to quit on his team. Smfh.

Selective memory for you. I get it.

Watch all of Kobe's passes to lesser players when he is not in tough situations. That's what LeBron did last night.

Damn do you love to unfairly criticize LeBron. Not that all people criticizing LeBron are doing so unfairly, but you personally are way off. Kobe quit. That's all there is to it. Kobe quit. Kobe went diva and quit. But you give Kobe a pass because he won two Finals MVPs after the fact. Cool. Oh, and LOL at the Kobe being doubled thing. Kobe wasn't being doubled in the second half. Just LOL. Anything to crucify LeBron.

            *sigh*

Kobe's alpha status is beyond question, based entirely on what he has accomplished on the games' biggest stage, but...

You're absolutely right. It's totally ok that the "best player in the league" has decided to roll over and let others bear the brunt of winning the ring he has professed to desire above all other things. What was I thinking?

                *sigh*

I'm not questioning Kobe's alpha status. Kobe was the best player on the planet just a few years ago. By your definition, Kobe cannot be an alpha. But then you justified Kobe's quitting as a move to show the front office that he can't do it all. Which you say is okay in maintaining "alpha status". But what LeBron did isn't because LeBron thought somebody else having the ball would actually give his team a better shot at winning.

That's what you said. But if you'd like to create another straw man of what you wish I'd say to further your point, go right ahead.

I work with quotes. You tell me where I said any of the crap you just claimed I said. I'm waiting.

Maybe you need to watch the game again.

I don't give Kobe a pass for anything, because he didn't quit. I guess we forget LeBron's biggest quit job of all on the whole city of Cleveland, but somehow according to you, he deserves a pass, for one reason or another for anytime he does it. I don't really need to know why.

I guess now I know that a guy can score 8 points in a crucial NBA finals game and stand there lost and watch and still be considered an "alpha" type player. Thank you for your amazing insight lol

I don't see how the situations are at all similar. One has never proven he can lead a team to a title, the other has. One is literally being carried to a title. The other, even when he did play on a team with a superior player, at least significantly contributed during the finals.

Yes, Kobe quit on his team, and it's one of the reasons I'm not a Kobe fan. It's inexcusable. But whether or not he can win as the alpha is unquestionable. He's done it. Some of us are presuming LeBron can, without him having ever done it. On the contrary, he's shown us that he sometimes folds under pressure. And he hasn't been particularly impressive through 8 finals games.

Anything that gives you the leeway to criticize LeBron but forgive others. You should've made that flexible at the start so you could just tear into LeBron and not have to worry about the application of the statement to others.

And I'm not presuming LeBron will, just that he can. Big difference. He's shown me enough in big games in the past to make me believe that he can do it in the Finals. Who knows, maybe he'll go off in one of these next three games. The series isn't over yet.
