This has literally been a circular argument for the last couple of pages.

I never asked why you all hated LeBron. I asked why people STILL hate him so passionately.

And I became indignant? Oh, right. I guess no one noticed how I was attacked by everyone who hates LeBron because I don't agree with their sentiment.

Like when you told me to shut up because I wouldn't go back and read the entire thread. Like when I'm repeatedly told I'll never understand or comprehend something that I saw for my own eyes because, again, I won't agree EXACTLY with how you all feel. If I WAS indignant, though, it was because I was attacked repeatedly because, again, I didn't EXACTLY agree with the consensus in this thread.

And he's a narcissist? LOL, EVERYONE has narcissistic traits, and can be called somewhat of a narcissist. It's called giving a damn about yourself. If that's what the hate comes down to, I find that funny.

So I'll leave it at this: I KNOW why Cleveland is mad. Their sports' scene has basically sucked for a long time, and King James was supposed to FINALLY change that.

Then he left, and because you all came SO close to breaking away from the "curse" hanging over your heads, you all got upset; at the same time, LeBron being the generally carefree person he is, he goes out and does little things that end up adding to the flame that would manifest into "The Decision." For the record, I think LeBron was trying to turn the hype of the Decision into a good cause for the Boys and Girls club. Considering the dude basically grew up poor in a single-mother home, I highly doubt he used that program JUST to up his image. Especially when, at the time, it wasn't THAT bad.

Nonetheless, "The Decision" was seen as "the straw that broke the camel's back" and emotions boiled over. What ensued that day with the fans was pure bent up emotion (which I thought was funny, honestly). Now LeBron is a traitor, now he's LeQuit, he's this and that, while his fans forget how he basically put them on the map and had them at the cusp of greatness. He'd probably have a ring or two if Antawn Jamison and Mo Williams weren't the primary options after him, or if they had AT LEAST acquired better talent than that of Candace Parker's older brother.

And now, here we are, still discussing how much people still don't like him, even though those fans have Kyrie Irving and a seemingly new future. And if I had to guess, it's because most of the rational ones know that LeBron, the only player that could and can legitimately challenge Kobe for the "best in the league" crown, was probably their best chance at escaping the sports curse that still hangs over their city's head.

But alas, this may all sound like nonsense. So I'm done with this thread. Maybe this site for a while, who knows. It's sad, IMO, that guys on here can't have more civil and rational discussions without them going on the offensive, whether it be other posters OR me. Just remember, this is my opinion. No need to take it personally. You don't like it, then just keep moving because it won't change.

Most of us here don't hate LeBron. But we're trying to explain to you, whether we hate him or not, why so many Cleveland fans are mad. More importantly, we're explaining why their being mad is justified, which you can't come to grips with.

Are you trying to say The Decision was only conceived to benefit that Boys and Girls Club? Really? He held the program at the Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich, Connecticut. I don't know if you're familiar with Greenwich. It's a high-income area. Those kids don't need a dime of what was generated by The Decision.

With the location in mind, it's obvious that The Decision had other motivations. LeBron (or his people) approached ESPN with the idea, hand picked his interviewer, and used the charity aspect as a justification should people criticize him.

Now you want to blame his cast for the Cavs' losing versus the Celtics? In Cavalier wins in that series, LeBron averaged great numbers across the board. 36.5 points, 56.5% FG, 1.5 TOs. In losses, he wasn't LeBron. 22 points, 37% FG, 6 TOs. Obviously, looking at those numbers, LeBron had enough around him to win games if he played well. That's how it should be for superstars in the playoffs.

People in Orlando don't hate Shaq for heading to the Lakers. Toronto doesn't hate Bosh for leaving. Most fans understand that Free Agency happens, stars leave, etc. The one thing which makes LeBron's Free Agency so different from all others in the past is the way he handled it, the way he feinted in every direction before headed to Miami, and the fact that he gave up in the playoffs just before his Free Agency. Then LeBron reveals that the three had discussed joining up well before those playoffs. Fans can't help but wonder "Did he quit just because he knew he was leaving?" Then LeBron, or his guys, or whoever, doesn't inform the Cavs that he is leaving until minutes before The Decision? Pretty ****ty, IMO. Definitely questionable at the very least.

You are creating this volatile situation all in your ultra sensitive head, my friend.

1) This entire posts describes in detail how YOU feel about the situation and every question you've asked you've only responded in ways to try to show why the answer is wrong. Yet you keep saying you just want to understand. It's pretty transparent.

2) For some reason you think you understand how people feel and based on THAT feeling they shouldn't still be mad. The fact that they are still mad makes it pretty clear that you don't understand how they feel (and refuse to listen when they're in here telling you).

3) The reason people have said "shut up and read the thread" is because every short answer someone has given you, you've ignored or still didn't get it. Meanwhile you're in a thread with pages and pages of answers for your question. Then you specifically say you're not going to go back and read any of it and demand everyone else to give you a cliff notes version that works for you. That's on you, buddy. If you don't want to read it then it's not our job to figure out how to get things through to you... just accept that you don't get it.

4) Finally, this isn't about anyone hating Lebron (besides OSUfan of course). The consensus here doesn't want to recreate the 100 pages that have already been written just because you refuse to read the information already there.
