    Joking of course
I know you're joking but I sincerely believe LeBron when he's shocked to hear his numbers. I don't think he knew he was gonna drop below 60% or even really cares.

One reason why he's balling so amazingly well right now is because he is not playing for anything but to do what's best at the given moment.

    I'm impressed.

I disagree with you about this. LeBron is and has been, a phenomenal player his whole career, but he definitely tries to put up the big all around numbers. It's picking nits, but if you pay attention to him, notice how he never makes a pass unless it's for an assist. He never makes a pass to swing it to the other side of the court for the "hockey assist". He always tries to make that pass himself, instead of swinging it to a teammate with a better angle. Also, I've seen him on numerous occasions, fight his own teammates for rebounds. Great, great player, but his "unselfishness", at least in my opinion, is greatly exaggerated.

As far as him not realizing he was at/around the 60%, I can buy that.

I can't agree with that. I'm sure everyone has seen him move the ball around his entire career. Plus I'm not really sure what he is supposed to do other than find a guy for "an assist". I understand what you are saying, but even going with the notion that he only passes it to wide open guys when there is an assist in it for him, which he does not, then what is the problem?

The offense runs through him, and it is his job to make the play because he is both a great scorer and a great passer. For instance, when he played OKC the other day should he have passed it out to someone other than Battier for the 4 or 5 times he would drive the line and Battier was wide open on the wing? He demands the defensive attention similar to Kobe, but he is a great passer at the same time. Should we get on Nash or Rondo because many of their passes happen to find guys in a scoring position and often times the pass would be ill advised from anyone else?

I don't know if I agree but he's talking about occasions that are different than the ones you're describing.

              Re: The LeBron James Thread

LeBron passes when it's appropriate more times than not. I don't see how you can state that he only tries to get "assists". That's not his game. He overpasses more than anything. To claim he never makes "hockey assists" is pretty dumbfounding honestly. To claim that makes you look really really suspect, either of bias or of sheer naivety when it comes to the game of basketball.

His unselfishness is not overstated by any stretch. There are plenty of times during games where he touch passes or quick passes around the perimeter and he's not looking for his shot or to attack. He's played the same way his entire career.

That's why Cleveland won so many regular season games with a not so great cast. LeBron moved the ball around to everyone and everyone felt involved which energized them as a unit. Even though they didn't have equal talent to the other contenders, they were still always a top seed because he utilized everyone so well.

After listening to LBJ's comments about Jordan and seeing him getting interviewed a couple minutes ago, I feel like a real *** for slandering him the way I did for how he left Cleveland.

Don't. He was a douche when he left Cleveland. He's changed/grown up since then...or at least has grown a clue when it comes to PR.

Please. Even without the Decision, Cleveland would still hate him for leaving. Maybe not quite as much though.
