LeBron has always been able to drive left and finish left handed. So I never thought picking a side was an good option with him. I always thought staying in front of him "even" was a much better % of getting him to pull up. But once you start shifting to one side. All it takes this guy is one (maybe two) solid dribbles and he is by you in the paint.
Lebron almost never finished with his left hand. He always pulls up for a jumper, crosses to try and finish on the right side of the rim, or passes as the defense collapses. This is straight observation and has 0 to do with being a Bulls fan. Lets watch the game tonight and keep a tally.

Though this data doesnt show anything about jumpers vs layups, forcing him left is apparently no better than sending him right.

LeBron James thinks Michael Jordan’s scouting report on him is wrong. And James keeps proving it.

According to Synergy Sports, when James went left on isolations this season he shot 56.3 percent (63-for-112) from the floor. When he went right, he shot 48.5 percent (47-for-97). Among the 52 players with at least 50 isolation drives going left, James had the best efficiency in the league. The data shows James drives left 51 percent and goes right 49 percent.

LeBron finishes with his left hand all the time at the basket.. It's almost like he favors it when he doesn't have a look for a dunk.. He was interviewed about it post game not all that long ago.

Well if I'm not mistaken, isn't he left-handed?

I think with pretty much everything but basketball and other sports I'm sure.. I think he writes left handed and does other things left handed as well.

First of all, no one said he CAN'T finish with his left, I said he prefers not to. Next, I've never read anything about what anyone else said or any scouting reports. I'm going what I see on the court and tonight, it looks the same to me. Lebron is always looking pass first, jumper next when he's driving on the left side of the court.

Lastly, I had no idea MJ said that about him. I'm going off what I see. That's where this person gets his stuff from.

How can you be judging off what you see and not see how often he chooses to finish with the left though? He even posts on the left block and shoots probably 90% of his hook shots left handed..

I was going to explain that. But I went to a game once and watched him shoot tons of left handed shots during pre game. It was weird to see. Someone standing next to me ask. "Is he left handed?"

There is also more lay-ups on the left side.. More shots in general on the left side. Seems like he likes to go left lol

Are looking at the same chart? He's got 51 layups on the right vs. 39 on the left.

There are more jumpers on the left side and more layups on the right, which is what I said.

Go to shot zones. It has the breakdown by shot number and percentage. And by the way, Lebron back to back. Jumper on the left side. Missed layup on the left. I'm in no way trying to disparage the man. You asked how I would play him and by all accounts it looks like that is how San Antonio is playing him as we speak. He's too deadly with his right hand.
