Guess MJ never flopped..
I just don't understand it. No one is even talking about Jordan and you have to bring up a video clip of him flopping once. I'm sure it's happened to literally every superstar at one point. Because guys want calls so they can get a leg up on the competition. This is absolutely pointless. I'm sorry if it sounds rude but I've had it with posts like that.

Guess MJ never flopped..Stop it. Really it's posts like this that make me want to punch a wall. Practically every player has flopped at one point or another. What's the point of a post like that? Really? Does it contribute to the discussion at all? All it does is bring up the never ending MJ/Lebron comparisons which make no sense to begin with because they played in different Era's and played different styles of basketball.

The LeBron James Thread
I don't think there will be any reason why he would besides he wants to move on for some reason or he feels that the team is aging.
I just don't see him leaving since he can win with them now, why would you want to leave that? Only reason would be money, but LeBron is already in Miami, no tax I think. And he's LeBron, he can do an infomercial for McDonalds from the basement of the AA Arena wearing a horse mask, and as long as it's him in that horse mask, he'll get a lot of money.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Was watching this over the weekend.
To see how much he has grown in his years with the Heat is awesome.

And just watching last years finals watching him make jumper after jumper. It's one of those even if you hated him before. You got to respect him just little.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I can't see him leaving Miami
He can get players to come play with him since well its Miami
Miami is a Top notch Organization and Pat Riley can persuade anybody to come play in Miami
The only thing I can think of that would make LeBron leave Miami is he would feel like he owes Cleveland a championship
And with Irving and possibly a good draft pick this year He would strongly consider going back to Cleveland
But long story short I don't think he's going back to ClevelandLOUISVILLE

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Unpopular opinion incoming....
I don't really think the Miami Heat is all that GREAT of an organization and Pat Riley is a bit overrated as an executive. For the most part during Pat Riley's tenure, they've been an average team full of first and second round exits and no real Earth moving moves by him until he got D-Wade and traded for Shaq before he got too washed up. He's was able to pull off the big three move because he had an inside track on all other GMs with Wade already being there and working over Bron and Bosh through their friendship which was borderline tampering if not full blown. Once you have that in place, getting a bunch of people to show up in Miami to ride LeBron's coattails to a Finals appearance every year isn't exactly bricking bricks in the big house. I give him props for his success, but I think he's overrated and he's not as good at his job as some of the arguments for LeBron staying in Miami would suggest. To even get the big three together he had to go into massive overdrive on tanking with the rosters he was trotting out there.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Just said Riley was "overrated" which is understandable. The guy that did the majority of the recruiting was Wade. Sure Riley opened the path for Lebron to come to Miami but No D-Wade meant no Lebron. Pat Riley is a very good exec, but he's not the god Miami fans make him out to be.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I'll agree with y'all. I'm not saying he is or isn't a great executive, because I obviously have no idea, but the whole idea of him building a great team or how he can get "anybody" to make LeBron stay is a bit overrated. Getting the big 3 was a great move for him whether he had the inside track or didn't, but everything that has happened since more than likely has to do with them wanting to join LeBron than listen to a Riley sales pitch... Arguably the best move he's made was grabbing Birdman when nobody else wanted him. Not exactly anything to brag about. But I will say he seems to be great at managing stars and egos. He's built this team with lots of guys who had to change their roles and their personal expectations. And he did the same in his coaching days where many of his teams had lots of talent and lots of egos.
As for the youngsters and the how they rate the Big 3... I personally don't believe they can just take the crown as the best big 3 ever, but I do believe they are up there in the conversation with those other groups. It'll always be a matter of opinion because you can't just pinpoint three guys from any team and say "these three are better than those 3". Especially since 3 players alone can't win games.... As far as their entire team I don't think it's anywhere near the best teams in league history honestly. I don't even believe that in and of the "big 3 years" they've been the best all around team in the league. But continuing to win despite having a lacking "other 9" is part of what makes just the three of them so great.Last edited by ojandpizza; 01-21-2014, 04:39 AM.Comment
