If somebody could look into the future and tell me that Drew was going to be healthy for the rest of his career, I don't know about the city, but I'm turning him down.

Serious question Drewski, not trying to troll.

I remember before the season, you were all for this guy. When did it turn for you, because I remember in the preseason thread you wanted the Lakers to go all out for him. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

But I can see why real Lakers fans appreciate the homegrown Bynum.

Serious question Drewski, not trying to troll.

I remember before the season, you were all for this guy. When did it turn for you, because I remember in the preseason thread you wanted the Lakers to go all out for him. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Hard to pin point, over time I grew bitter towards him. All the waffling, positioning, indecisiveness, really stacked up. It got to a point, to me, where it was just... "Do I want to deal with all of that on my team?". Meanwhile, Drew was busy telling reporters that it was "LA All day" for him. Created quite a contrast. Have a monster already under the rim who is invested in the team. Once Dwight made it a question of whether he would even sign an extension with any of these teams, I was done, I think. As of now, to me, Dwight feels like damaged goods in regards to going to the Lakers.

Kind of hit me that he can't handle being -that- guy and he wouldn't be able to hold it down in Los Angeles. I think the guys supremely talented and athletically gifted, but his head and the people around him have poisoned alot of the "intangibles". With that said if Bynum for Dwight straight up was on the table today, I don't know what to think of it. Bynum's knee scares me, but he's been playing great ball and is, to me, learning on the job. This is the first season that Bynum -HAS- to take on the responsibility of being a key component with the luxury of LO being gone. He's done well and has steadily improved, the biggest challenge has been learning how to operate with double teams and he's been doing that much better as of late. His passing/recognition has improved ten fold, but there's still room for improvement.

As long as Bynum can remain healthy and he continues to learn the game while playing at the level he is, I'd prefer Bynum. But that robocop leg leaves alot of questions.

I agree. You were always riding for Bynum. I've always knocked him for his ability to be a focal point of offense and this season he has proved me wrong.

I can officially to this point say, you told me so. If he stays healthy, there is literally no reason to make a deal for Dwight, not only based on talent, but from the apparent headache that can come with him now, that we really didn't know before.

I think Orlando trades Dwight to the Nets before the end of the trade deadline tomorrow. The Magic would be a fool to not move him before the end of the deadline.

While the Nets would love to get Dwight Howard as a free agent, thus enabling them to keep Brook Lopez, MarShon Brooks and all their other assets to build around Howard and Deron Williams, their preference is to get him before the trade deadline; just because you never know what can happen in free agency.
