Never underestimate the ability of Donald Sterling to alienate any and everyone he comes into contact with including his own players. He's got plenty of time to do something Sterlingly stupid. Beyond that, he wouldn't go to Orlando anyway.

Oh I know he knows what he said. Clear that was just the PR response his agent and himself concocted.

Howard acts like hes just way too immature. Sounds like a 16 who might get in trouble if he says the wrong thing.

What a mess. I hope Dwight can handle the villian role next year.

He's been the villain for the while now, and he hasn't handled it well.

After a tumultuous 24 hours of watching Dwight Howard repeatedly change his mind about his free-agent intentions, the Orlando Magic are moving quickly toward trading their franchise center, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

              The rest.

Howard later had lunch with three teammates in which he told them he planned to opt into the final year of his contract and would remain with the team through next season, a league source said. Howard called Magic CEO Alex Martins from the table and also informed him of his intentions, the source said.

For Howard to eliminate the early termination option from his contract, both he and his agent, Dan Fegan, would need to sign waiver paperwork. Before the Spurs game, he told team officials he wouldn’t be signing the forms.

Rick Fox is making a good point on NBA TV that I somewhat agree with. They pointed out the three years before the Lake SHow got Phil they were getting crushed in the playoffs. Phil comes in and installs the Triangle and suddenly those same guys are boring through the league for three straight.

Its totally feasible that style offense they run down in Orlando doesn't work for long term playoff success. Who knows. I just want it over. If he becomes a Net, then oustanding, two of the best players in the L is here and i'll love every second. If not, so be it. The team will find something else.

Dwight just needs to shut up, or tell the Magic what is sticking in his craw.

James Worthy said it best on the Lakers post game broadcast when Jim Hill mentioned Dwight. (I'm paraphrasing here) "Dwight Howard? I'm sick of hearing all this Howard stuff, it's tired." lol

This is the same guy who got beat up by Doug Christie

Not only is he stating the obvious but he's also leaving out key factors... this magic team is nowhere near what LA had

Or as Larry Coon said. 'That's enough Dwama for today.'

Ironically Magic said the same exact thing on the ESPN halftime show of all places

Oh thats not even in question. Personally I just think they've been running something for years that hasn't seemed to work yet and got Dwight acting like a confused child.

Rick Fox was spot on about Dwight not really knowing what to ask for. Van Gundy's offensive scheme has never produced a title. Help means more than players. If there going to give him the keys to the family car he should at least know how the damn thing works.

Truthfully the players on this team together arent good enough for a title and we all know this

Whatever happened to ****ing fighting for a title the old fashioned way? Growing as a team and winning? These young guys don't get it.

If Dwight stays and then does terribly in the playoffs, that's going to be awful.

They're in a good position to make a deep run in the playoffs. Good. Go out there and DO it.
Who does he have around him? Besides him, they have a PF who is 16/8 guy as their best player. Ryan Anderson is a good player, but if he's your second best player (and btw, his defense is not very good), that's not a good thing. Your two PG's combined are 15 ppg, 8 apg. Other than Dwight, the team is shooting .410, and other than Dwight they are below average defensively. They've made some terrible trades. That big trade with Phoenix was idiotic. Pietrus and Gortat were both key pieces, and all they got in their place was Turkoglu. They probably shouldn't have made the Vince Carter deal. They just kept heaping on bad contracts, and then replacing them with worse contracts.
