Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
I think thats a mistake. The team isnt going to get any better than it is right now. I dont really understand what he's looking at. He's damn right about getting bad advice. The play from the very beginning should been a very kind, understated departure.Comment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
Dwight opts in, then Orlando should just trade him. He's not worth the headache, and I don't think Orlando is going anywhere with the team as is. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Plus, I believe you could get a great deal from a rental team if Dwight is locked up for another year.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
Why even opt in though at this point? Virutally the same team is going to be out there next year. They have no money to make moves in FA and no one is going to be willing to take those atrocious contracts off their hands. He's going to be bitching and moaning all next year too. Orlando, take the next best offer, and ship him out, asap.Comment

If I recall correctly 2013 off season Magic lose most of their contracts and have a ton of cap room.Comment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
If they still haven't won anything by then, you really think he's going to stay there for that to matter? Hedo is still on the books with a 12 mil dollar player option that you know he's going to take and then you factor in Dwight's new deal if he takes one and that'll eat that cap room right back up.Comment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
So has he officially signed the waiver? Until he signs that nothing else matters and the Magic should be lining up a trade if he doesn't sign it by noon."This is for all of my peoples who understand and truly recognize. Some won't get it and for that i won't apologize"- Talib KweliComment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
What kind of piece are they gonna get worth anything for the contracts that are expiring though? Turk has an option for the following year so people still aren't going to want that one. The other expirings for 2013 are Jameer, JJ, Ryan Anderson who's gonna be a restricted FA after the season and Earl Clark. How can you really improve that team with those guys?Comment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
So because Howard was acting like a baby he has screwed over the Magic even if he does sign for the year and next.
The Magic could have been pursuing trades hard up until the deadline to try and acquire players to play with Howard and yet have had to worry about if he would stay first.Football: Manchester United
MLB: Cleveland Indians
NBA: Miami Heat
NFL: Cleveland BrownsComment

Broussard?
Dwight Howard has officially signed the waiver on his early termination option.
Howard is contractually signed to the Magic for the 12-13 season.
