Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

Would Orlando take James Hardin, Serge Ibaka, and a couple 1st round picks for Howard?

I won't completely rule out NO as a possible spot for Dwight, but the chances are extremely low IMO when he's likely going to have teams like the Lakers, Celtics and possibly the Thunder throwing cash at him, as well as The Russian who you can't count out either.
1st If the NBA new CBA includes a hard cap the teams that traditionally spend more money won't be as appealing.

2nd Why go to L.A. or Boston both those team are on a down swing(espcially if my 1st point is the case).

3rd New Jersey has way less than N.O. and they're in the East which will becoming the dominate conference.

4rd I doubt OKC after a hard cap will have the space for Howard, Durant, and Westbrook.

Like I said a lot depends on the new CBA. My point is if Orlando is certain they will lose Howard and still want to compete right away a deal with the Hornets may be the best offer they get. If they want to rebuild after Dwight then a trade with the Hornets is a bad deal. It all comes down to the direction Smith want to go in.

LOL Why are ya'll even entertaining that stupid *** deal. Sorry to be too harsh but stop pimping that wack *** deal with a dude with ONE leg and an aging bum in Okefor.

Lopez ALONE is a better building block than BOTH of those dudes because:

        A-He's young(Only 23)
B-Already one of the top scoring C's at his position and has proven he can average near double digit rebounds.

Not to mention, we still have plenty of draft picks to help get Orlando started on a rebuilding project AND if we have to take back Arenas AND Turkoglu, we could do that as well.

And even if we sit back and do nothing right now or once a CBA is done, we still got plenty of cap space to sign him outright even after Deron signs his deal, which seems just about likely now.

Yes because we seen how much that affected Melo's decision.

I already said Melo was a unique case because a contending team wasn't his priority New York and max deal was.

If New Jersey can make some moves and are willing to trade Lopez on top of taking Arenas contract. Then and only then do I think a deal with the Nets would satisfy the Magic FO and make Howard happy. But as the roster stands right now IMO Howard is closer to a title in Orlando than in New Jersey.

We do have the only coach in the NBA with a more annoying voice than Stan Van.

LOL don't talk about Avery like that.

He graduted from my old High School in New Orleans and went to Southern in Baton Rouge. Where in the hell did he get that accent from. Nobody I know talks like that. LOL

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

Dwight has a good thing going in Orlando.

-He gets to play the fan pleasing, loveable, goofy, superhero bit.

-He's good enough to ensure anywhere between a 3-5 seed every year for the next 5-6 years of his prime, if the team around him is built with any semblance of common sense.

                -He recieves absolutely zero criticism.

Tough gig to give up, especially for a guy who may have a bit of Kool-Aid in his blood when it comes to really having a hunger for a championship.

With that said, Otis Smith has done a pretty fine Isiah Thomas impersonation lately, capped off by rolling the dice of the franchise's future, on Gilbert Arenas' knee.

He receives a lot of criticism imo. Plenty of people question his leadership an his heart because of his goofy personality. I don't think that's fair at all.

                    Neither do I.

We don't even know the guy yet we assume he doesn't care that much about winning a title because he's almost always smiling and joking. It's an unfair assessment IMO.

OKC wouldn't do that. #1 b/c of Dwight's salary, and #2 Perkins would still fight Dwight regardless of the same team.

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

I think the team as it was constructed wasn't championship level. When you have guys the caliber of Howard, Paul, Durant or Rose you better try your best to put a championship level talent around them. Also as bad as Arenas contract is the one he got rid of was maybe worst ever.

As far as D12 not being criticized I don't agree with that at all. Many analyst are critical of his playful attitude.

I was arguing with my friends about this. I said I would give up Noah and Asik for Howard in a heartbeat, considering Howard is better in about every basketball skill then Noah.

One agreed with me completely, the other said no and that it's all about chemistry.

The same person who said no also said that he wouldn't have traded for Kobe when he was on the block a few years ago.

If they get him they would have the juggernaut of the east for the next 5 years.

                            Rose
Korver (assuming they would start him over Bogans to space the floor)
                            Deng
Booz (or Taj if they would trade booz)
                            Howard
                            Chicago Bulls
                            Chicago Bears

Yeah wizards got money but it will be a while until wizards can compete in the playoffs. everyone says Lakers but their old kobe isn't the same. If we got Dwight Howard another dynasty would be born no team in the league would stop us. but i highly doubt it but its wishful thinking.
