Agreed, if you give the Hawks a legit center they will be a force. Horford is great but hes better suited as a PF, then you move Smith to SF an you got a top tier starting 5 well minus Hinrich at PG but hes serviceable.Comment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
1st CBA will cap space be an issue.
2nd this is only if Orlando keeps Howard and he goes into free agency. If Atl plans on acquiring him via trade they will have to ship too many pieces that will put them right back in the pack. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
Trust the Magic are not even thinking about the thought of trading Dwight. Until the new CBA is done and we see what all it includes none of this really matters. They are in a much better position than the Nuggets ar Jazz was in. They don't have to make a move. They can sit back and wait and see what the new CBA brings and go from there.Comment

If Dwight is determined to leave if I'm Otis Smith I'm trying to do 2 of 3 things.
1 acquire players that let me compete now.
2 acquire young talent for the future.
3 dump Gilbert Arenas contract.
If he can do any of those two it will be a successful trade for Orlando IMO.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
No the point is they aren't thinking about or don't have to think about making any kind of move with him until they know for sure what the new CBA will bring. They aren't thinking man we may have to trade him next year or any of that. That is what seperates them from the Nuggets this year. Once they new CBA is in place then they will know what they can and can't do. Until then there is no point.Comment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
Ok I get that but how is it better than Denver situation? Having to wait gives you less options not more. As far as I'm concerned Denver made out like a crook. I would have never gave away that much for Melo given the situation.
The new CBA may end up being Otis bestfriend or his worst nightmare. IMO uncertain don't equal better. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
I don't see Dwight in LAL. Kobe is on the way out and with a lockout around the corner, that might be on additional year on Kobe's career. I just don't see it.
Plus Otis Smith to me might be too stubborn and bone headed to even accept any good deal out there.Comment
