I'll say that I don't think Dwight WANTS to leave, but he may just be fed up with the lack of trying to acquire other legit pieces for a championship. I mean look, this guy is in Orlando, looking across the way, and seeing the Big 3 in Miami take control of Florida. He want's to control the state of Florida and create that Miami-Orlando rivalry.
Dwight will not be traded before the season starts. But unless Orlando makes a run at somebody, he will leave. It's sad because He's one of my favorite players and Orlando became one of my favorite teams, but it is what it is, and it's on the Front Office to determine how much they want him. This is becoming a league of superstar-filled teams, and Dwight doesn't want to be left behind. Which, leads me to this presumption....
The Magic need to make an offer to Golden State for Monta Ellis.
He'd be great in the Magic offense. He'd be able to play the 2 alongside Jameer Nelson AND the 1 when Nelson is off the court. He'd be the primary scorer and create shots for himself and Dwight. We all saw what Wade did for Shaq.
But seriously, Orlando needs to realize that this is their SECOND chance at losing a dominant superstar, and third (as I remember, including T-Mac) superstar period. Teams rarely get that in such a short span; look at the span of Derrick Rose to MJ for the Bulls, for example.
