The Heat are my favorite team, but I don't think we need Dwight & they would probably have to give up too much to get him.

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
All of them during that time was still all star caliber players. Each of them(Allen, Pierce and Garnet) all top five at their respective positions. What they had going for them was the rest of the team. The complimentary players meshed in very well with the big three.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Remember that their joining wasn't planned well in advance. It also happened through a non-demanded trade.Bears | Bulls | Cubs | Illinois | #Team3Some

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
I thought we established the difference between the Celtics and what's going on with the league now? Kevin Garnett had to be pretty much forced out of Minnesota just to even make that Big Three possible. I don't know how there could be confusion on conspiring to force your way to a specific team with your buddies and a team making trades to aquire guys with regards to what's 'buddying up' or not.Comment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
I personally think if Orlando can make a good move this Wednesday , Dwight could be persuaded to stay. I really don't want to see our big guy go anywhere.
IF HE DOES , though.. then I could say New Jersey, LA, The C's, or in a pinch, he could head to a team like Denver or OKC.Comment

I mean, I agree the whole C's thing being different, I just honestly want to know if my memory is that bad, lolComment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
Dwayne Wade, Joe Johnson, Ben Gordon was outta control with the Bulls at that time, Richard Jefferson was killin it, Monta Ellis etc. Heck you could even include Kevin Martin at the time when he was with Sacramento. He was highly regarded too.
Garnett was though.
Definitely wasn't two top 5 players in the entire league, and wasn't pre-meditated, nor were they reaching their prime. Obviously hind sight is 20/20 seeing some of those players fizzled out but at the time it definitely wasn't clear cut.Comment

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?
The Celtics had depth though
As much as people talk about those 3...they forget guys like PJ Brown and James Posey..the contributions of Leon Powe and Sam Cassell's leadership
Man those guys were so instrumental its not even funny
You can't throw in trash like Marquis Daniels and J Oneal and expect that productivity to be sustained
Ainge is a dummy GM man... traded 2 centers away the next season then Perkins to top it off... and now they have rebounding problemsComment
