Not sure, but I know Morris and Goudelock were good picks for what they were. Goudelock can be a fantastic off the bench shooter and is probably a bargain for that type of role - and we already chopped it up about D Morris.
Those other 2 picks though, yuck. One of em got traded to Denver I think? For a future 2nd? The other probably sitting out in a foreign land, and probably will be a for a long, long time,

Ohh OK OK. Yeah they picked two point guards.

Darius Morris reminds me of a poor man's combo guard version of Andre Miller. Kind of slow and doesn't look that athletic but plays the pick and roll with a lot of craftiness and has exceptional court vision in the half court and transition. Knocks on him are that he is turnover prone, is a questionable shooter and in general just is sort of a slow and unathletic player relatively speaking.

The shooter they picked up is a little PG who seems to have unlimited range. Unfortunately he is little and probably can't defend the average NBA PG.

The other two guys they drafted were head-scratchers, one of them got traded and the other will be invited to their free agent camp.

I was very surprised to see the Lakers pass up on David Lighty with Brown's committment to defense.

Lighty going undrafted = shame. Liked his game alot at Ohio State.

Eh, Scotty Hopson is the only SG I saw from the undrafted list that is really of any interest to me. All the other guys (Lighty included, although he was one of the better ones) scored inefficiently almost every time they played against the tougher opponents, although I can understand that that obviously doesn't show a player's other talents; just pointing that out.

Scotty Hopson is a prime example of what happens when you combine elite talent with a poor work ethic.

Phoenix will bring him in to work out or whatever, apparently.

He'll be in the league. Stern would do anything to expand the NBA's influence and I'm sure he'll find/create some loophole.

I think the Cavs should have got Derrick Williams. He has a lot of upside.

He was probably my favorite player in the college game last year. Dude brings his lunchbox and puts in work every game. Good, hard nosed talent is hard to come by.

I'd pick him 10 out of 10 times over a pure PG who played 11 games because of a toe injury. It was smart of him to sit out no doubt, to rest the toe and let it heal, but I still take the big body with a nice all around game.
Tristan and Williams worked out for the Cavs together. Word is Thompson had a slightly better workout head 2 head, which solidified the Irving pick. Williams value is a little inflated by this draft, and I doubt he'd even be in the top 5 next year given his tweenership. He's also kinda' heavy for shooting on the move and creating his own shot for a three, IMO. I dunno...I like Williams toughness, but meh, the Cavs can easily get a stud wing player in the 2012 draft.

I also think Williams fans overstate the "only 11 games played" angle. Would the basketball world really learned that much more had he played 18 games? Or 23 games? Will we know everything there is to know after one month in the NBA? That is roughly a college season, no? It's all a crap shoot no matter how many games, how many workouts, how many interviews or how much footage you watch. They wanted his skillset...needed his skillset, and got it.

                        Only time will tell.

No doubt Macca... Kyrie will be a great player for the Cavs, but I just don't know. I just see Williams as being the better overall talent. I could be completely wrong, and hope that I am. But I'm not sure. Something just feels wrong.

Not sure if anyone posted it yet, but nbaplaybook.com has some nice scouting reports of guys like Vesely and Biyombo if you guys want to go check them out. They also have a scouting report on Ricky Rubio.

Watching the 1989 Draft Classic on NBA TV, and they mentioned a rumor of the Bulls trading Dave Corizine to Orlando for their number 11 pick. Which turned out to be Nick Anderson. BUT look at the players that got drafted between 11 and the Bulls next pick of 18:
                              11 - Nick Anderson
                              12 - Mookie Blaylock
                              13 - Michael Smith
                              14 - Tim Hardaway
                              15 - Todd Lichti
                              16 - Dana Barros
                              17 - Shawn Kemp

WOW! Can you imagine if the Bulls took that 11 pick and picked up Nick Anderson? Or Mookie Blaylock? Or Tim Hardaway? Or Shawn Kemp? Could you imagine the Bulls on a fast break with Pippen in the middle, Jordan on one wing and Kemp on the other wing? That would have been scary.

After watching NBATV and all those old Bulls Finals, I finally have to give it up to Scottie Pippen. I never liked dude...but he was a beast. Definitely better than what I gave him credit for. Pippen was a problem.
