I still can't comprehend how trading Beno Udrih and #7 for John Salmons and #10 makes any sense. If you're an owner about to go broke, why would you do a trade that gets you a worse pick, loses your starting point guard, and lands you an underachieving older guy with a ridiculous contract who plays a position where you're already loaded?

The contracts of Udrih & Salmons are about the same. The Kings needed a SG badly so trading for Salmons wasn't a bad deal. Plus they still got their guy in The Jimmer with 10..

Tyreke Evans is a SG.

Whatever the case, I think that trade screams "Whoever wants Marcus Thornton can have him", because there's no way they keep 3 SGs that are all solid quality.

But Sactown has Thornton, and now they'll be moving Reke to the 2 so he can play a more natural position.

If they make Thornton available, he will definitely have suitors. Wonder if they try to lump in Salmons in a Thornton deal. I still really don't get how you take on Salmons AND trade down.

No blind hate. You obviously have become accustomed to accepting failure as success.

This entire discussion has been tip toeing around personal attacks and this post quoted is a direct one. Only warning. I have no idea if your issue is with the bobcats or Marino but please adjust your tone.

And for the record, ignorance means not comprehending the situation, and when followed with an example of speaking of previous drafts that were made by someone different than who made them this year, the word fits. If you did know, then it's not an accurate statement, however it's not an insult just bc you took it as one. Lets keep this thread on topic.

Draft combine had him at 6'7 3/4" without shoes, 6'8' 3/4" with shoes, with a 7'1.5" wing span. You're talking about a guy who shot 58% from 3, a 34.5" Vertical, 19.5ppg and 8 rpg. Anyone with as pure of a stroke at that height is a guy that I'll put money on.

Not to mention every guy who's already in the league has his height exaggerated. It always cracks me up when a prospect is knocked for his height, "he's only a 6' PG, he's only a 6'7" SF", when all of the "6'9" SFs in the league are 6'7.5 and there are dozens of capable 6' PGs.

I don't think Irving is a lock to be a better player than Williams by any stretch of the imagination but I do think he was the right pick for Cleveland and I really like his game. Wouldn't be surprised if DW turns out to be the best player in this draft by a solid margin though.

Yeah, After a night of sleep after the draft..I'm proud of Ernie and the Wiz draft picks this year...Can't wait for the season..

Now we have to figure out what we're going to do with Nick Young, sign him or let him go.
