Why would you want to get rid of Stevenson? he isn't the sharpest tool in the box but he stepped up really well in the finalsComment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
It seems like making this trade basically says they are assuming he is going to want to cash in on that awesome finals performance, and that he would want more than they could possibly give him.
Either that or that they are going to let Butler go, coming off knee surgery and all.Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
Perhaps the biggest "WTF?!" moment in all of the drafts I've watched. I mentioned it earlier, but not only did he absolutely blow at UConn but he's 25 or 26 years old. He's not a young kid who's going to develop. He's older than Andrew Bynum for god's sake.
Apparently the Lakers loved his versatility and they claim his perimeter game has really developed in the last year and he's more of a SF now. I'm sorry, but Jets you and I know there is absolutely zero chance he's anything resembling a perimeter player. He shot like 43% from the FT line at UConn, was robotic and stiff and couldn't handle the speed of a Big East game.
Seriously, that pick is the biggest headscratcher I've ever seen in the NBA.Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
Has to be the only explanation and reasoning that exists. No need to sign FOUR 2nd round guys. Morris though, that was them legitimately taking a shot at a PG.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Yeah, that was legit... if he doesn't make the squad that was a draft failure.Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
For sure. But I mean, look at the Lakers PG situation. How can they not start taking a very calculated gamble at a PG. I don't think a 2nd round PG will make an impact though, I'm not sure what they can do there. Probably should have chased down Felton but ah well.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment
