Need Thornton to the Bulls, especially with the overload they have there now.

No, the real question is what bandwagon did you jump on after Miami lost in the Finals?

I think I'm liking the trade for Rudy Fernandez a little more now, I keep forgetting he's only 26. Goodbye Stevenson?

The Rudy trade was probably a shot at another championship... Rudy didn't play good in Portland because they have the slowest offence in the league, Rudy operates well in fast offences such as D'Antoni's a prospect who still needs to develop his game a lot has no place on a championship team (assuming they will get far in the next playoffs)

Why would you want to get rid of Stevenson? he isn't the sharpest tool in the box but he stepped up really well in the finals

It's not really that the Mav's want to get rid of him; it's more about if the Mav's can resign him.

It seems like making this trade basically says they are assuming he is going to want to cash in on that awesome finals performance, and that he would want more than they could possibly give him.

Either that or that they are going to let Butler go, coming off knee surgery and all.

Apparently the Lakers loved his versatility and they claim his perimeter game has really developed in the last year and he's more of a SF now. I'm sorry, but Jets you and I know there is absolutely zero chance he's anything resembling a perimeter player. He shot like 43% from the FT line at UConn, was robotic and stiff and couldn't handle the speed of a Big East game.

Seriously, that pick is the biggest headscratcher I've ever seen in the NBA.
Seems the thinking is the Lakers drafted a few players they knew would have no chance of making the roster so they wouldn't even have to worry about signing them. That's the only explanation I've heard that actually makes some of these picks make sense.

Has to be the only explanation and reasoning that exists. No need to sign FOUR 2nd round guys. Morris though, that was them legitimately taking a shot at a PG.

Yeah, that was legit... if he doesn't make the squad that was a draft failure.

For sure. But I mean, look at the Lakers PG situation. How can they not start taking a very calculated gamble at a PG. I don't think a 2nd round PG will make an impact though, I'm not sure what they can do there. Probably should have chased down Felton but ah well.
