Very true but it's a good starting point for the Knicks to make an offer.

Any offer NY throws (and they will be limited) will be matched by LAC. Sterling or not, I have no doubts about it.

So we should maybe look to sign a SG? That seems to be our weakness currently.
His projections are a 6-9 version of Dwight indeed. But with that I don't see how he plays at the 5. He can be a beast of a 4 though.

I'm hoping Sterling hasn't come to his senses yet...only time will tell.
This is the only thing that really annoyed me about the Melo deal....Chauncey's contract is a cap killer this year plus I think Felton was a better fit for this team.

Yeah, I hadnt heard the Cats wanted to run a 6-9 Center, so I pegged Biyombo as their future 4.

Switching gears - I think the Clips could have made a more serious offer to at least let DJ know they want him to be locked up with them for a reasonable price. I know the strategy of matching the contract and moving on with the daily business, but still.

Definitely, I feel like it is perfectly realistic for him to have Serge Ibaka like skills early on in the season. He should be a dynamic shot blocking machine.
The way to build a good team is not to load it with star players, but to load it with players who play well together with an identity

He is still growing though, he grew I think it was 2 inches from March to the draft.

James Jones want to jump ship?

Saying he merely was looking to "find the best situation for me," Miami Heat forward James Jones confirmed Wednesday to the Sun Sentinel that he has decided to opt out of the 2011-12 season on his contract. Jones, however, stressed that the decision was not in response to being benched for the final nine games of the playoffs, including all six games of the NBA Finals, which the Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks

                    Someone will overpay James Jones.

This reeks of Jason Kapono getting a massive contract after winning the 3point contest.

You would think he would be the perfect fit to get a lot of PT with Miami, lol.

1 yr at 8.8 is pretty ridiculous. I'm surprised they're throwing him 8.8 while telling B. Roy to retire.

Yeah I thought the Blazers had wash their hands with Oden. Maybe they're just trying to raise the price for Oden?

That was my only guess - trying to do him a favor by setting the bidding at 8 million. Still risky, 8 million is a lot for a guy in his position. 1 year is what makes is feasible - worst case its only one year.
