Here's what i think is going to happen based on Dallas system

    Starters
    PG-Kidd
SG-Beaubois (Replaces JJB and also allows Kidd to defend the SG on Defense)
SF-Carter (Replaces Butler and remember Butler and Roddy were actually suppose to occupy to the SG /SF spots last year)
    PF-Dirk
    C-Haywood

    Bench
    PG-West
    SG-Terry
    SF-Marion
PF-Odom (Will start at Center in replacement of Haywood vs smaller lineups)
    C-Mahinmi

The only move i see them making is either trying to pull off a deal for Dalembert with Brewer and Rudy or with Boston for Jermaine O'Neal which i read had he gone to New Orleans in the David West S&T they were going to re-route him to Dallas

So i think that is the Mavs roster this year with a possibility of adding one more veteran big man soon or at the deadline

      Why???

Why do we want this headache?

EDIT: Looks like the Clips picked Chauncey up off waivers. I wonder how he feels about this? LOL

Just me wondering: Would think a Mo Williams-Trevor Ariza sidebar might get this deal to the finish line.

That last tweet is interesting. It would allow the Clippers to start Ariza at SF with Caron coming off the bench as 6th man, but would Chauncey like coming off the bench for Chris Paul?

Agreed. Is JJ already off the board? Why don't they go after him?
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

With all these acquisitions, you guys are definitely the leaders to rep the West.

              Happy for Dirk.

I hate that hoopshype reports it as a max deal, its not the maximum we could offer but its the maximum that another team could offer.. thats not a max contract and its the only time i ever see it reported like that. The same was done with the Rudy contract and they still say to this day that "rudy got the max".

honestly once these type of guys get to dallas they seem to chill out IMO

think about it Van Exel, Marion, Stackhouse and Stevenson were all considered head cases or moody players before coming to dallas.

None of them caused a single problem and I believe it's because of Cuban 1st then guys like Dirk and Terry being in the locker room

I don't expect any trouble from these guys....most of them just to want to win and usually winning will motivate the hell out of them

The guy who I think is going to surprise people is VC.....I think with him just being a scoring option and not the man or even the 2nd option is going to be huge. He will get the same luxury's as Butler did playing off of Dirk and VC is still a very good ball handler and passer not to mention he can knock down shots if decide to double Dirk

Mavs should get about a 3rd or 4th seed this year

Compared to what he was making before (like $1.3MM), he did. He signed a 4yr, $19MM deal.

they will be deep but they will miss Chandler's ability to defend the PNR

That is haywood's only knock on defense he's not quick enough to defend the PNR and the Spurs exploited that the year

He's a good 1 on 1 defender but teams with speed can kill Dallas without Chandler

So i don't think they will be as good as last year and OKC could represent the West IMO depending on Westbrook's maturity

                                Props to Stevenson though.

As for Carter, he averaged 14 points last year, 36% from the three. He could definitely be a factor for them. Wouldn't be surprised if he averaged somewhere around 16 points this year, honestly.
