Golden State is in a very odd situation. Not sure what they plan to do with Monta. Not sure if they're planning on rebuilding or trying to keep a core together to compete.Comment

Monta is getting older and is more of a chucker than anything else. I'd be pushing to trade him right now.
As for Chandler, I could see GSW over paying him to about 12 million. And it'd be money well deserved. He'd be the inside presence that they have missed for years there.Too Old To Game Club

GS is not far from being a good team. But they need to get rid of Monta. They drafted Klay, and Curry isn't going anywhere.

I think they should trade Monta too, because honestly with Curry/Monta, that isn't gonna be a legit combo to get meaningful wins.Comment

I'm almost convinced Nene will get a max contract and it'll probably be from us.
I won't like it(the contract)at all because he damn sure isn't a max player, but I'd also understand it because we HAVE to get somebody else here that can help Deron. Not a fan of quick fixes, but in this case, we really have no choice.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
I hope you guys don't do that Pack. I would love for you guys to get a quality big man, either Tyson or Nene, but not for crazy money.
@SpearsNBAYahoo Center Greg Oden "strongly leaning" on re-signing with POR to a 1yr, $8.8 mill qualifying offer and would become FA in '12, sources tell Y
Oden owes it to Portland to stay at least one year.
Sources say Suns will waive Vince Carter
Chicago, Miami and San Antonio are expected to be among the teams interested in signing Carter, 34, once he clears waivers and becomes an unrestricted free agent.
Looks like no NYK? I am a Doubting Thomas on Vince at this point in his career. But with that said, I am not so sure he couldn't help any of those three teams out.Comment

I actually 100% agree with you on this question.
If Brooke just had a down year in rebounding due to his sickness or what have you, the Nets already have a top 10 center anyway.
I guess they just want their own version of the Twin Towers? It's not a terrible formula, but it is if you're gonna give Nene max money and then give Brooke eventual max money. That would be awful IMO.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Trust me ya'll, that's the question I've been trying to get answered for a while now. But then I think about the trade for Deron and really once we made that, the whole rebuild thing went out the window.
I mean I get that we need another big since Humphries is going to want more money than the Nets are willing to commit to him, but in this awful FA class, especially at PF and C where none of the players are max type guys at all, they're nearing 30 and have a track record of dealing with some type of injury.
My only worry about signing Nene is for some reason, I just see him slowly transforming into our version of Jerome James(really hope I am wrong)especially since this is his last BIG payday he'll be getting.#RespectTheCultureComment
