Actually, Jrue Holiday wouldn't be a bad tbackcourt mate for Monta, only because he has solid size (legit 6'4" ) and isn't a scorer. They would need to trade"Sweet" Lou Williams because having him and Monta on the same roster would be redundant, IMO.

I agree regarding the best fit being the early 2000s Sixers, but I don't see any team built that way today. Those teams were built completely around AI's skill set and to help mask his lack of size.

Looking at current rosters maybe you could pair him w/ Tyreke Evans in SAC (not enough shots to go around) or maybe Rodney Stuckey in Detroit?

Agreed, I don't think Howard is worth 2 of our 3 big men, it would leaves us with a small front court like Orlando, and we definitely should not trade Pau. Him and Howard would fit well together.

You'll come to appreciate it eventually

But it did really help a lot when I used it during the chaotic nfl free agency.

The madness should start as early as tomorrow, teams will be allowed to start formally contacting free agents.

It's gonna be a fast and furious next three weeks of free agency

It would be nice if they had all free agencies like the NFL's this year and soon to be the NBA's. So much action in so little time would definitely draw interest in not very hardcore fans.

Could you imagine if it was last years Free agent class this year (or even next years)

                        From Hoopsworld
It’s no secret that the Chicago Bulls are searching for a starting shooting guard. They’ve reached out to a number of free agents, but sources close to the situation say that the Bulls are also exploring the possibility of a sign-and-trade for either Jamal Crawford or Arron Afflalo.

Chicago has been in contact with representatives for Crawford and Afflalo since Wednesday morning, and now the team is “getting creative” as they try to land one of the highly coveted guards. The Bulls will contact the Atlanta Hawks and Denver Nuggets to see if either team is interested in a sign-and-trade deal, and sources believe Chicago will offer a package that includes Ronnie Brewer among others.

Prior to last season, the Bulls attempted to trade for Crawford, but Hawks’ general manager Rick Sund wasn’t interested in moving the veteran shooting guard. Now, Chicago will try once again try to land Crawford, who is an unrestricted free agent. Crawford has also received interest from the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets, Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns among other teams.

Unlike Crawford, Afflalo is a restricted free agent so the Nuggets will be able to match any offer sheet he signs. The Bulls are very high on Afflalo and would love to trade for him, but Denver really likes the 26-year-old as well. Afflalo can contribute on both ends of the floor – he’s an excellent perimeter defender and continuing to expand his offensive arsenal. Many other teams have expressed interest in Afflalo, but his status as a restricted free agent makes acquiring him much more complicated.

Outside of Crawford and Afflalo, the Bulls have been in contact with representatives for Caron Butler, Josh Howard and Nick Young. Chicago wants to address their shooting guard position and it appears they’ll have a number of options to consider once free agency begins on December 9.
If its only for Ronnie and some picks, I'd prefer to go this route.

If we have to trade Asik or Gibson, then I'd prefer to try to get Caron on the cheap.

I really hope LA or Chicago gets Afflalo. He is one of my favorite players, especially on NBA 2k.

Anybody have any idea on how LA could get a back up big man who they can actually play?

He definitely isn't a Max-type, isn't an elite player, yet he could flourishe on a team where he isn't the number one or two guy. I'm interested in where he'll end up, wish the Spurs could sign him.

problem is. This team is desperate and we're going to give him max money when he doesn't deserve it.

Bro LA doesn't have any chance at getting Afflalo, unfortunately. Lakers contacted Josh McRoberts.. that's the only name I heard so far.

About Monta, i'm seriously having a hard time thinking of a team where his skillset and size would work to the teams advantage. Atlanta maybe? Joe Johnson played point for a quick minute in Phoenix and Hinrich could also swap between the 1 and 2. Other than that....
