Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
I agree if this was 12-13 years ago, then his size would definitely be a problem. But as long as you have those 3 things you mentioned, especially as a big, then you'll be OK.
I do want to know how in the world did this dude shoot up 8 inches in 2 years though. I wanna know WTF his Parents were feeding this dude for him to shoot up so damn quick.#RespectTheCultureComment

Kevin McHale was barely 220. But he's regarded as one of the greatest PF of all time.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Tyson Chandler was 224 when he came in the league in 2001 as a PF/C and now is only 235 and is one of the best defensive players in the league.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
We have way more productive undersized powerful 4's in the league than productive frail, non-skilled, and athletic 4's right now.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Chris Bosh is bigger than Anthony Davis by a wide margin.

There really isn't that much of difference in them as far as their size goes when they entered the NBA. But you're making it seem like Davis will never be able to grow into his weight.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Everybody keeps bringing up weight. Weight gives you an idea of a guys build, but it's not the end all be all. Every human doesn't carry their weight the same. You can have two guys be the same weight and height and one be way more powerful and solid than the other. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
I think I've entered the NFL Combine thread. Gaining weight will be the least of his worries. The kid is only 19 years old and will grow into his frame.
I think the guy can be a HOFer. We'll see how his offensive game develops but the tools are all there."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." SidVish"I thought LeBron James was just going to be another addition to help me score."

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Ofcourse he can grow. I'm saying he won't be able to do so and keep the motor, quick leaping ability, and timing. He's not skilled like Bosh I don't think he'll get as skilled as Bosh or Garnett. His game will be predicated on athletism, unlike Bosh or Garnett. Not saying he won't have an impact in the league, but it won't be frachise changer. Just solid defender a la Chandler or Camby. If that's good enough so be it, but that's not who I want with the 1st overall pick. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
I'm assuming you didn't watch much of Bosh or Garnett's games when they first came into the league because the skill they had then to the skills they have now are leaps and bounds different than when they entered the league.
You're saying basically saying that the type of skills Davis has and will bring into the league won't improve because of his frame/skills and isn't worth a top 5 pick.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Wasn't Davis recruited as a SF then he grew another 3 inches? For a young big men he had some solid post moves, especially that little hook thingSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
