Another rumored deal I heard was that Mavs get Calderon,Davis and a player from Grizzlies. Grizzlies get Kaman,VC and 1st round pick from Raptors. And Raptors get Gay.


Really don't like that deal. Raptors giving up Calderon and basically 2 first round picks to get Gay. Raptors keep on talking about building a young team, so how does giving up a 1st pick in this past offseason, another during this season, and a player we recently drafted with a 1st round pick, prove that point?

Oh my god I want that to happen so bad. I can handle losing VC if we get Calderon. And I love Davis.

We don't know all the details yet so ill hold off calling the Grizzlies owner dumb for right now.

They are practically giving him away for Calderon and Davis.

Unless they are getting a really good pick(s).

Grizzlies getting Davis would be great though. I never wanted Davis to leave Raptors.

DeRozan and Gay are starters, Ross on bench...

If DeRozan/Gay each play around 37 mins a game, Ross could come in and play like 18 mins(which is his current average anyways) off the bench(and remaining 6 or so minutes goes to someone like Anderson. Meaning we can get rid of Kleiza/Fields and free up more cap space!)

But Casey has DeRozan-Ross playing together, so Ross-Gay playing together as well could happen too. Either way, having at least one of DeRozan or Gay on the court at all times would be great for Raptors. Gives them alot more to work with.

Don't know much about Hamed Haddadi. Just from basketballreference, he's a 7'2 C from Iran. Doesn't play much though, but his per 36 numbers look great.

Deal not official, but sounds like 3rd team could be invoved(if not,then it'll just be the deal I mentioned before)

If 3rd team involved(Pistons rumored as that team)

Raptors get:
Gay
Haddadi

Grizzlies get:
Davis
Player from Pistons(Prince or Maggette)

Pistons get:
Calderon

Swapping Maggette for Calderon is just swapping one expiring guy for another. Hopefully it would mean that the Pistons are looking to move on from Stuckey.

However, if the Grizzles get Prince, it gives them a guy they can use and it gives the Pistons more salary flexibility.
