Lithuania reports saying Raptors are trying to trade Kleiza.
Wonder what deal will come from that. He COULD be a valuable player to have cause he has a player option, so if he gets traded to a team that can almost guarantee he won't be picking up the option, then it'd be like that team frees up 4-5M in salaries after this season.


Any teams out there that'd want a guy like Kleiza(meaning a guy making 4.6M right now that could very well be a free agent at end of the year, meaning that team could free up about 5M in salaries)

Hawes from 76ers + a draft pick for Kleiza? 76ers aren't in playoff position, but are top 5 in salaries. Getting rid of a guy like Hawes and Kleiza going to free agent after this deal would result in them saving almost 7M in salaries

Andre Miller from Nuggets maybe? Raptors take on his 5M contract, Kleiza prob won't wanna stay with Denver(didn't work out 1st time he was there), so they free up 5M from that deal(in a season where their team salary actually goes up from the year before,without even making any signings due to Lawson getting paid much more.

Miller(who is nothing more than a 5M,36-37 year old backup G now) and Nuggets 1st pick in 2013(which is likely a late 1st round pick anyways) for Kleiza? If Nuggets really do wanna shed some salary, that'd be type of deal to do.

Looks like CP3 is the real GM, shot caller of the Clips according to Woj

Chris Paul is planning on re-signing with the Los Angeles Clippers in the offseason on a maximum contract and has final say on every move the team makes.

"If Chris wants Vinny [Del Negro], he'll be the coach," one source tied to the Clippers and Paul said. "If Chris wants [Kevin Garnett], they'll push harder for it."

The Clippers have become the NBA's best destination for older players willing to take less money for a chance at a title because of Paul and the team's chemistry.

Paul hasn't fully committed to a new deal with the Clippers, not wanting to lose leverage in putting a genuine contender around him.

Is that really a surprise to anybody? He's one of the best players in the league and potential MVP, soon to be FA so of course he's going to have say.

Deron was the Asst. GM last year in Jersey. But there needs to be a fine line in how much say they can have because there's a reason why you don't see any successful Player GMs in the league.

Nope. But what I thought was interesting was the line about Del Negro. So if Del Negro stays, it will probably be CP3's doing. Which to a lot of folks, wouldn't be such a wise choice.

So if the Clippers are willing to do the DeAndre + Bledsoe for Garnett deal, I'd love to see the Celtics try to flip Rondo to get Josh Smith just for the sheer entertainment of it. It would be crazy if they restocked their team that quickly.

lol why would the Jazz want Odom? Why would any team outside of Los Angeles want him after what he did in his one season outside of LA recently?

What's the salary cap or rather the hard cap in the NBA? One thing I find interesting about the Clippers, is they're currently still on Blake Griffin's rookie deal, and just signed a 5 yr/95 mil contract extension, so that's what like 17 million...

Deandre is making 10 million, they wish to sign CP3 who I think will be about 19-20 million, Caron is making 8 million, and if they do acquire Millsap, that's possibly 9-11 million maybe even more. That's about 64 million give or take between 5 players. And in Jamal Crawford's 5 million and you're looking at about 70 million for their "core" since Chauncey is on the last year of his deal, amongst others.

Is this a scenario where they might have to be like the Miami Heat and find players who'll play for 1-2 mil?
