Haha harsh.. Other than his efficiency and shooting % being rough he's not a bad player at all.. Definitely not worth 19mil but I still feel if he ever finds the right landing spot he can become a very good player...

He's not JR Smith, Melo material in my opinion. He's not just a black hole. He's taking almost 19 shots per game this season (and shooting horribly) but he's around that 16ish Mark on his career.. That's not really bad for someone who can be a potential 2nd option.

The Toronto Raptors just robbed the Kings. This is hilarious. Earlier they robbed the Knicks, now they're robbing the Kings. Ineptness is just ineptness. Ujiri is proving his quality cleaning shop of bad players and contracts in only his first year. This is impressive.

You can't ignore those kind of anemic #'s though, especially when you factor in the price tag.

He's not on Melo's level in terms of black hole but he's up there with the worst of 'em during his time in Canada.

What are you talking about? The Raptors just lost the best player of all time.

We'll miss you, Quincy. Long live the beard.

Well that's what I mean. The price tag is what makes it so bad. It's not him being a terrible player, or a ball hog, which is what it gets portrayed as.

I really wish I could see him on a good team where he wasn't the primary perimeter scorer. I feel he has potential to still be a good player in the league.

It's just takes the right situation. Kinda like Monta this year. Went from constant bashing to praise. I just want Gay to find that type of team and fit where he is respectable.. He's a really great guy outside of basketball, and is talented on the court..

Along with Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray will be traded to the Kings too, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Also, can't remember which media head tweeted it, but they're saying Rudy Gay will play PF for the Kings, and he and Derrick Williams will be interchangeable on the defensive end.

              Edit: found it.

Kings plan on using Rudy Gay as a stretch power forward & see Gay & Derrick Williams as interchangeable guarding either forward, source says

Ya, Quincy was great guy on the team. Just too small for us. We need PFs 6'10 and bigger. I'll miss Quincy more than Gay and Gray(and now the Gray,Gay,Daye trio is done!)

One negative about the deal...Raptors take on almost 14M in salaries for next season due to Vasquez,Patterson and Hayes being under contract for that season. Vasquez/Patterson I'm fine with, but Hayes hopefully can be dealt for an expiring contract or something(with the room gained from losing Gay, Raptors can afford to take on a couple extra million for this season and help out a team trying to shed some salary to make another move at the deadline)

It doesn't make sense to me on SAC town's part, unless they grab someone else later on. I know they're looking to trade Fredette, (poor guy looks like Asik on the bench, lol) so why not throw him in a deal with Marcus Thornton? Just see what's out there for the taking.

Three teams in three season, Rudy Gay. Should we feel bad for him? Likely that he doesn't care, but still. It's like a child who doesn't like to share and because of that is forced to transfer schools. I don't know.

                    Possible deals with: LAL, CHI

I want to see what the Kings can do with Fredette and Thornton. You don't want to take minutes away from McClemore.

I don't know. This was a surprise to me. I like Salmons, and wish it wouldn't have been him. Funny thing is, MyGM, the first thing that the owner wanted me to do was either trade Salmons or Fredette... Mission accomplished.

^^I thought I was the only one that thought this trade was weird.^^

I kind of feel bad for Derrick Williams. Where do you play him now? He's right back to where he started.

Rudy Gay is a good post player, defender, passer and slasher. He needs to realise he isn't a good 3pt shooter and i think he would make a great 2nd option on a good team. if his contract wasn't so ridiculous i think he would be a good fit on many teams

rudy gay and josh smith go hand in hand to me, as rotat said, good passer slasher can defend and HORID 3pt shooters yet they stand there all day and chuck em. both can be multi time all-stars if they learn to accept their deficiencies and improve on them in the off-seasons

Josh Smith is noticeably better at everything than Rudy except shooting, where they're both medicore. Different class of player.

In regards to this trade. What would everyone say is a fair yearly salary for Gay? Curious as to opinions.

id say something around 6-9 mil a year for rudy...sure hes got star talent but he doesnt utilize it properly (thats what i was comparing him to smith for, not actual talent level ^^)
