Typical Knick move. Mentioned it in our team thread - we're giving up a pick to put a band-aid on a mortal wound. More foolish, short-sighted management.
    Completely agreed.

Though, I will say that the moves in the past that took away all of their 1st round picks have made it that much harder to actually try to rebuild. I mean, if they could find a team that would give up multiple first round picks in the future for Melo, then I'd be all over it, but I can't imagine many teams doing that right now. New York might be better off trying to trade Melo for a younger all-star caliber talent if they can find any takers (I remember Steven A had talked about a Melo for Griffin swap, but I'd be surprised if the Clippers went for that).

Anyways, I think it's far more likely that New York will continue to try to get better instead of tearing it all down, which is why I wish Milwaukee would dangle Mayo/Ilyasova to them to see if they could get Hardaway or Shump or future picks.

Not sure if this was directed towards me or turty, but yeah, I know the Knicks won't trade him. I just think that would be the smart route.

Ugh. Rumor going around the Bucks message board is that we're targeting Asik and filler for Ilyasova, Gary Neal, and Wolters . Or something like that.

"The Nets have "resisted" trading away Mason Plumlee or their first-round pick in 2020 in a deal for Kyle Lowry, according to Yahoo! Sports.
The Raptors are interested in Bojan Bogdanovic and general manager Masai Ujiri reportedly attended a game overseas to scout the shooting guard. The Nets have the rights to Bogdanovic and he's playing well in the Turkish Euroleague, averaging 17.9 points over his nine games. Nothing is imminent, but the talks on Lowry seem to have accelerated quickly."

Really? I would have traded Plumlee for Lowry in a heartbeat. Something tells me the Raptors wanted more than just Plumlee ..

They had to want more than Plumlee cause salary wise it wouldn't be allowed.

More likely something such as Teletovic,Plumlee,Taylor(or Shengelia) along with that 1st for Lowry.

Hopefully Raptors just let all these offers "leak out" and see if any GM sees what teams are supposedly offering and topping them all.

Wow seriously? Wolters for nothing, he's showed lots of promise..

Would this mean they are giving up on Sanders?

Supposedly Herb Kohl has soured on Larry after the club incident.

I suppose they could also think Larry is a PF or something, but a front court of the two of them wouldn't work at all IMO.

Anyways, I'll worry about it when it starts picking up more steam. I'll be furious if we give up Wolters for basically nothing that will actually help us.

I don't like this move at all honestly. Sanders already does everything Asik does?

Basically trading young talent for an overpaid one-dimensional big.

I hope they don't trade Plums.

We have no very little athleticism on the team as is so why trade your most athletic player, who's actually played well for a guy that was supposed to be D-League bound, for a rental? Makes no sense for us to do that and hopefully King sees that as well.

Would exactly call him overpaid or one dimensional now.

But simmer down folks, there's a reason why these are called trade "rumors" and most of these rumors rarely happen.
