Actually he can be claimed by another team. After a buyout, you still have to clear waivers
Glen Davis and the Orlando Magic reportedly agreed to a buyout that is expected to become official later today. Assuming Davis clears waivers and isn't claimed by another team with enough cap space to absorb his $6.4 million cap number, he'll then be a free agent to decide where he'd like to finish out the season and possibly chase another championship ring. -

I think Davis would be huge for LAC. So would have Turner.. If they somehow would have landed both, look out western conference playoffs!Comment

Seriously what is up with the Clippers trying to sign every guy that gets waived.Comment

They don't need psycho Ron but I'm sure
Doc might want to take a look because of his disposition towards defense but he's washed up.
They should trade dudley in the summer. Guy had been awful. .I don't know why they'd trade Bledsoe for him

I still don't get why the Clippers signed Turkoglu and Vujacic. Signing big baby will be the only good signing I've seen from them if they end up doing it. And how serious were the rumors about trading Collison and Barnes for Shumpert and Felton? That would've been awful IMO.

I guess I'm the only one who wasn't against the Clippers trade for Shump.. Collison has been a solid back up, and was huge for them when CP3 was out. But realistically Paul will probably be playing 40+ minutes come playoff time anyways.. I don't think that extra 8 minutes or so would be much different with Collison on the court than it would have been divided between Felton/Crawford/Sasha..
JJ has been a solid 3 point threat, a good second hand playmaker and ball handler.. And of course they have Crawford.. Basically the only thing they are missing from the 2 guard spot was a solid defender, I think Shump would have added that..
Not sure if they would even had tried to use Felton, but I don't think he would be a much worse 5-8 minutes per game option than Collison. And if they could have possibly gotten some minutes from Shump at the 3 spot rather than playing Dudley and Hedo that would have been beyond huge for them..Last edited by ojandpizza; 02-25-2014, 03:07 AM.Comment

The same reason why there's so much talk of Melo leaving when he ain't going nowhere.
And OJ, at this point I'd take Collison > Felton going forward. Not that it's saying much.#RespectTheCultureComment

If you believe Broussard (stop laughing), the deal was basically done, but the Clippers backed out when Shump got hurt. And it was going to include Beno Udrih as well, so maybe they would use him as the backup pg and not even play Felton.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
