Does this even make the Nets better? IMO he's a solid player, but just another person that needs the ball in his hands

I assume he'll play a similar role as Terry, which is something he's undoubtedly doing better this year than JET. And losing Evans will be addition by subtraction for them I think.

Has Evans been off on his rebounding or something? I remember last year he averaged like 11 boards off the bench lol.

lol, Kings-Nets deal is funny for the fact that Quincy Acy was getting Reggie comparisons from the day he was drafted by Raptors(mostly cause Reggie played for Raptors too, though Acy had no idea who Reggie Evans was). Now Acy/Evans are teammates.

Knick fans overrate Lin more than any player in our history and that's really saying something since we LOVE to overrate people. I don't want him back if we have to give up a 1st.

              Re: the Collison trade...

We'd still have a horrific starting PG after the deal so I'm not sure there's much of a point. Sounds like the proposed deal is Felton/Shump for Collison/Bullock.

It gets us out of Felton's deal earlier which is a bonus. I haven't seen Bullock play a second of NBA basketball but I wasn't too crazy about him at UNC. He can't have any worse potential than Shump at this point.

ESPN's Marc Stein says talks between the Knicks and Clippers have hit a Raymond Felton-sized wall:

                Marc Stein✔ @ESPNSteinLine

Like Hawks in Jeff Teague talks, hearing Clips opposed to taking back Felton in proposed deal headlined by Darren Collison and Iman Shumpert
                Marc Stein✔ @ESPNSteinLine

Clips undeniably interested in Shumpert. Knicks definitely want Collison. But Clips prefer not to take back Felton or part wi/Reggie Bullock
                Marc Stein✔ @ESPNSteinLine

ESPN has learned Knicks are telling teams that have interest in Shumpert: It'll either cost you a first or you have to take on Felton's deal

                  Clippers trading Collison why?

They need to get rid of Jared Dudley not Chris Pauls more competent backup

It's a pretty meh trade but it makes some sense for both sides imo.

For the Knicks, they dump Felton's contract, they make a small upgrade at pg, though it's still a terrible situation, and they exchange Shumpert for a younger guy who is still under contract for a few years. I don't know if Bullock can play at all, but Shumpert's clearly not in the Knicks long term plans, even if he breaks out of it and becomes a valuable role player Knicks aren't going to use 2015 cap space on him.

Clippers see if a change of scenery + going from a bad coach to an elite coach can help Shumpert. And maybe in a backup role in an up tempo offense Felton can play a little bit better.

That said, sounds like it's not going to happen, and that trade doesn't work salary wise anyway, Clippers would have to add another piece.

Shump for be Tony Allen 2.0 for Doc(which would be a great thing for them)if he ends up in LA.

Nets still trying to get Jordan Hill from the Lakers, which would cost the Nets $17 Mil just to rent him for 3 months basically and would push the Nets' payroll up to a reported $210 Mil forming the most expensive 2nd round team in Sports History.

                          The clippers don't need Felton

They need some freaking backup bigs although they do need an athletic wing because they don't have much of that right now. They'd have been better keeping Bledsoe in the first place

So, it appears that the teams in the mix for Rondo are the Kings, Knicks, Rockets and Raptors. Deal isn't likely but all teams are extremely interested.

At this point, if the ransom is big, I say trade him. As much as I love Rondo, and will miss him if he leaves, I think trading him will only speed up the rebuilding process.

I also read that Sacramento offered Isaiah Thomas, Ben McLemore, someone else (forgot who) and a first for Rondo. The deal was called off because Rondo said he wouldn't re-sign with the Kings.

Hopefully the addition of Rudy Gay and Jason Terry changes his mind, I would absolutely love the C's to take that offer.

This will be the second time Mike D has traded away Hill for not knowing what to do with him.He only won't stay if Mike D is back.Hopefully Pringles is gone in the offseason so I don't know why we not holding onto Hill.Let go of the 1 guy that wants to play D and get boards? What a joke.
