[quote=ProfessaPackMan;2046332460]Per Mark Medina of the LA Daily News

The Lakers would consider selecting Embiid should he become available, according to a person familiar with the Lakers’ thinking. But such an idea would hinge on Embiid’s recovery.

The Lakers are mindful there would be risk in selecting Embiid considering his recent back injury and his current foot fracture. But they are also aware of Embiid’s upside with various draft experts likening him to Hall of Famer center Hakeem Olajuwon. It is unclear what information in Embiid’s medical report and progress the Lakers would need to see that would make them feel comfortable picking Embiid assuming he stays undrafted before the seventh pick.

It is horrible I agree, you just have to type it in manually. You had the wrong slash, it's from bottom left to upper right to end quote.

I would take the risk if I'm the Lakers. No one at 7 really has the potential to be a franchise player, and if he stayed healthy that would be a hell of a steal getting the consensus #1 pick.

Utah offered #5 and Derrick Favors to the Cavs for #1 who turned it down almost right away. Also saw Jabari Parker had a bad workout for the Cavs. Almost locks up Wiggins if you ask me.

I doubt the MCW or us getting Klay trade holds any weight. This is rumor season so every reporter is going try and make an name for themselves.

I don't think it was bad. I read that he looked great with the exception that he struggled with his shot.

Wiggins will kill in workouts though. If Cleveland makes their pick based on the 1 on none workouts, it will be Wiggins.

I expect it to be anyways, although I'm pretty sure that before Embiid's injury, they preferred Jabari. Same with Milwaukee, who now supposedly is starting to love Wiggins.

How many times is this clown going to make an account?

Before Embiid's injury he wanted to trade the pick lol.

Now that it's Wiggins v Parker for #1, I wonder which would fit better with coach Blatt and Irving. It's an interesting debate. I still say pick best player.

6ers may now end up missing out, tough break for them. Bucks will at least have a pair of wings for the future in Greek Freak and either Parker/Wiggins.. a lot of folks also say Parker could play the 4.. so the Bucks really can't lose.

If not Embiid, Cavs should draft Wiggins OR trade for Kevin Love.

                  OR (again)

This would never happen, but what if Cavs traded the #1 pick to the Knicks in a Sign and Trade for Melo?

No need for a sign and trade if they wanted Anthony, we could sign him in FA. Cavs have the best assets IMO if they wanted to trade for Love, but I think it would be too much of a risk without Love signing an extension.

What do you guys think the chances of Sacramento drafting Payton at 8 are? They sound desperate for a new point guard with their supposed interest in Rondo and now Bledsoe, and I think they want a pure point guard.

I always say pick the best player. With the way coaches are fired and recycled you definitely don't want to build your team around a guy who is 2 underachieving seasons from being let go.

They should've never skipped Damien Lillard.

According to Ken Berger (and a friend of mine who is close with Dan Gilbert), Cleveland is leaning towards Jabari with the first pick.

if I'm the lakers and Embiid is available at 7, I'm taking him with zero hesitation. if he's a bust, whatever; lakers rebuild through FA anyway.
