I feel like I've always heard he isn't really legit, and Gery Woelfel definitely isn't.

I think Woj reported that Kidd is seeking to be POBO and coach like SVG, Doc, etc.

And supposedly Milwaukee didn't even reach out to Kidd. Kidd reached out to them.

My man even got the jump on Woj. Incredible.

That thread is hilarious though. I can only hope that that happens here on OS one day.

Also, I would hope Milwaukee is smart enough to just wait for Brooklyn to fire him so that we don't have to give anything up to get him.

Kidd has a connection to one of the new Owners of the Bucks because they apparently used to be Kidd's Financial Adviser in the past, so they reached out to him and supposedly Larry Drew and the rest of the FO had no idea that was going on.

I got a feeling there's more to this than just Kidd going up to The Russian and making demands though...

              Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread

              Taken from Rotoworld,

Gary Woelfel, who covers the Bucks, said on Twitter that he's heard that the Bucks have already offered Jason Kidd the role of team president, although that has not been confirmed.
This story is developing at light speed and it's quite possible that Kidd already had a deal in place with the Bucks before he went to the Nets with his seemingly outrageous demands to control the organization. In another interesting twist, someone posted this exact scenario playing out on a Nets message board at RealGM.com a couple days ago (including Kidd running the Bucks), and also said that the Nets will next pursue Mark Jackson as their next head coach. While this is purely speculation, two things seem to be quite clear. 1. Kidd will not be returning to the Nets, regardless of what happens with the Bucks. 2. Kidd's close relationship with the new co-owner of the Bucks is a big deal, and it appears that he could very well be on his way to at least the team presidency, and could also end up coaching the team, although reports of whether he would also coach the team are unclear. Stay tuned.

As far as I've read, it sounds like Milwaukee didn't reach out to him at all. He asked Brooklyn if he could interview with Milwaukee and then called Lasry up to try to get an interview.

For what it's worth, Woelfel doesn't know a damn thing about anything.

Exactly, which makes me think that there's more to all of this.

Two days ago, he was talking about trying to bring back Livingston, Pierce and Anderson and now two days later, he's on his way to Milwaukee to GET full control? Somethings not right about any of this...

                    Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread

The guy who broke the story seems to confirm alot of whats being said.

I got inside sources in the Nets organization, and the word is Jason Kidd will get fired because he asked for a raise. Kidd also wanted the GM position, but the Russians told him no. Kidd will be the next coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, and possibly the GM too.

I understand that the first post around here are 99% trolls. Jason Kidd is a big prick, the media try to make him look like a professional, but he is far from it. He yelled at the Russians, he wanted more money because guys like Fisher and kerr got a big check for their first gig.

Is there any loyalty that Pierce and KG have to Kidd? Does it matter to them whether he is coach or not?

                    Quote:
Garnett and Pierce only care about winning, they are class act off the court and media eyes. Jason Kidd is a different story he got a huge ego.

                    Quote:
MR. pov was fine giving kidd more money, but he wanted the the president of basketball operations then Kidd started yelling at Dmitry over the phone.

                    Quote:
Also the Nets are discussing the coaching job with Mark Jackson, nothing official yet.

                    Quote:
After he yelled at Dmitry Kidd asked the Russians for permission to speak with the Bucks. The Russians texted his agent, and said OK. Kidd called Dmitry, and cursed him for not calling directly.

Oh yeah, definitely much more stuff going on. Supposedly this blow up had already occurred when he was trying to bring Livingston and them back too. Really bizarre.

Jason Kidd has deep personal and professional ties with new Bucks owner Marc Lasry, and hiring him to run franchise is a real consideration.
