I actually wouldnt mind kerr. He seems to have a high basketball iq, i think he'll work out great. He'll encourage more ball movement, probably give them a higher offensive rank, and being a 3 point shooter himself, he'll probably run more plays getting curry and thompson better looks at 3. Defensively, theyll probably be the same though.

As far as melo goes, do you think this coaching thing could impact his decision to leave?

Definitely think so. If Melo doesn't approve of the coach, he could go to Chicago and get coached by Thibs. Don't think NYK will hire someone w/o consulting Melo.

I don't think the coach itself will make much of a difference, but the fact that Kerr was our one and pretty much only choice, and that Phil told Melo personally that he expected Kerr to be here, I can't see this helping Melo's confidence that Phil is going to turn this around.

Still don't think Melo is coming here at the end of the day if you really pressed me on it, but I would think this would help the chances of keeping him. Now they'll probably get an established coach, why would Melo be looking to stay on with a brand new coach that's never done it before?

I dont think not having kerr specifically would help or hurt so much of the fact that going a while without having a new coach could hurt. I agree that this deal going south could hurt his chance of staying.

With that said, what are realistic melo destinations. At least money wise, what place could afford him.

Really the question is what is Melo willing to make for a shot at a championship? Everybody assumes that Melo automatically wants a deal that would net him 16-18 million dollars in that first year. If he's willing to take what LeBron and Bosh took to go to South Beach, there's a few possibilities.

I know i keep hearing houston pop up. But is that really even a decent place for melo to be.

Whoever the Warriors sign I hope they utilize Iggy more offensively.. Don't get me wrong Curry is a legit go-to scorer, but he and Klay are among the best in the league as shooters while Iggy is one of the best play makers and ball handlers for his position.

I felt when Jack came in last year and Curry played off ball a little the change of pace was a huge benefit.

Also, hopefully they can get more out of Barnes.. Though he'll likely be one of those players who really blossoms once he lands on another team.

I could see PP ending up with the Clippers, Bulls, Mavs or Grizzlies if he doesn't return to the Nets

Definitely, even back in Boston. He'd have a large role in LA. They have no wing player who can go create looks, all spot up shooters.

It'll be interesting to see who the Warriors pick up to play backup pg. Is Sessions gonna be a free agent? I wouldn't mind seeing them pick him up.

Hope Pierce is back but only at the right price. Anything more than $7 mil per and I let him walk. Same for Livingston as well and I hope AK decides to opt in and stay.

Great career for KG but it's time for him to call it quits.

I'd let Blatche walk. His inconsistency and constantly going back and forth between being a Guard and being a big man ain't enough for me to bring back.
