So here's a question I was thinking about. Does San Antonio have A GUY for their future Spurs fans? Like as great as Pop is as a coach, the sustained success for the Spurs has been the constant presence of Tim Duncan I would say as THE guy in SA. With that era winding down how does the future look for the Spurs? Do they have some prospect hidden overseas that's going to wow everyone when he gets to the league? Is Kawhi expected to be the guy or will he be the Parker/Manu to someone else?

I would be fine with Sugar K Leonard getting a Batum like contract, I think he's a great player and he has only just scratched the surface.Fino Alla Fine

They might be grooming one of his assistants to take over who knows.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Giving Leonard any amount of money he wants? He isn't a max player but again, I would understand why the Spurs could and would do that. He is a no nonsense, hardhat type guy. Any team would love to have that. Are his skillset, production and ceiling/potential worth that type of money? Not to me.Comment

Got ya, in my eyes market value for him is going to be easily 10-13 million a year anyway. Look at what other guys at his position are getting paid, it's a joke. So he'll clean up regardless.Comment

Yeah you're right, and he may end up being worth it and he may not. I believe the Spurs will try to work some kind of magic.Fino Alla Fine

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I could easily see Lue, I hear he is very respected around the league being under Doc all these years. I'm pretty sure Lue can recall some of the triangle from his years in L.A.
Fisher, maybe. I also heard he wants to coach next year. He obviously knows the triangle.
Walton though?that's a joke and Knicks fans would riot
Mark Jackson is not being considered? I guess Phil really wants the triangleComment
