He didn't want to,but Raptors didn't want to pay him alot I'd assume, and his ankles can't hold up for full season. He might play most if not all games, but not at 100%.

Too bad he wasn't able to come back cheap, cause he is a big fan fave and he really loves the city. One of those guys who one year down the road,I won't mind seeing return to the Raptors as a veteran guy off the bench.

Can't wait to see Kobe be fed up with Hibberts **** lol

I don't know why the Lakers would do this. They aren't going to the playoffs and they need to get a top 3 pick to keep it. Might as well suck. Don't know why you would jeopardize that for a year of Hibbert

So is marcs resigning being stalled to try to maneuver other deals first?

I seriously hope the Lakers traded a first round pick for Hibbert.

But man this feels so weird. As a spurs fan im ecstatic to have LaMarcus but man we lost some good dudes in acquiring him. I gonna Splitter the most. Sure most fans didnt like him since he was built in our heads as the guy who was gonna replace Duncan and he never got to that level but he was however a big part of our run in 2012-2014 on the defensive end. But alteast hes going to Atlanta where i know the coaching staff will know how to use him.

But anyways now the spurs need a backup big (Amare,West) and a shooter (Luke Babbit) and we are good into this season.
I loved Tiago's ability to play high - low with Timmy, his great team/pick and roll defense (one of the best big men in the NBA), underrated passing ability and great ability to finish on screen and roll plays, but he was hurt all too often the last few seasons. I think the last few seasons of deep playoff runs took the most out of him, Tony and Manu.

I would like to see the Spurs take a chance on Jerell Eddie over a guy like Babbit that can't defend and doesn't have a true position. And if Cady shows enough during Summer League defensively and on the boards he could make the roster as the 15th man.

And we saw that Atl never really had a shot, despite playing well in the reg season.
Never had a shot but they made the conference finals? They just lost too many players (Thabo, Demarre and Kyle) to have any chance out on the wing. They had Kent Bazemore trying to guard LeBron (LOL) for Pete's sake.

Because they need a warm body that's not Sacre or Hill playing C and they need a rim protector. And for as much as Hibbert is terrible, he's still 7'2" and uses his "verticality" well.

Please tell me this is worded wrong lol. Ain't no way in hell you should give them a 1st round pick for accepting their trash.

Compared to what they have and what's out there, it's an upgrade. How much remains to be seen(we'll all agree he's one over Robert Sacre unless someone wants to make an argument on his "upside").

Then you haven't watched the Lakers a lot. That's been the biggest problem for them for years. Having Jordan "long 2" Hill last year only made it worse.
