    Re: 2015 Offseason Thread

Schedule releasing today @ 6PM EDT with Schedule Release Special airing on NBATV at same time and re-airing throughout the evening.

Interested to see if/how they decreased the back-to-backs and four games in five nights like they had talked about.

Please Pop troll the League again

We already knew four of the NBA’s five Christmas games:

            Clippers-Lakers
            Heat-Pelicans
            Warriors-Cavaliers
            Thunder-Bulls
With the Knicks watching from home, that left the Spurs and Rockets as the most prominent unaccounted-for teams. Unsurprisingly, the Texas rivals will play each other.

Buck Harvey of the San Antonio Express-News:

Merry Christmas, #Spurs: At Minnesota on Dec. 23, at Houston on Dec. 25 and followed by a home game on Dec. 26.

            — Buck Harvey (@Buck_SA) August 12, 2015

Let me get this straight: The Spurs are on the road, coming off a road game after only one off day and on a back-to-back with the second game at home.

Those seem like the right ingredients for Gregg Popovich to rest his starters. Better to sit them on the road leg of a back-to-back so they’re available for San Antonio’s home fans the next day.

Tim Duncan, LaMarcus Aldridge, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Boris Diaw are all in their 30s and benefit from extra rest. They’re also very good, meaning the Spurs are planning for a long playoff run. This is especially not the year for them to chance injury, and it’s not as if they’ve liberally pushed their aging players previously.

Would Popovich actually do sit his stars for a nationally televised game on the NBA’s premier regular-season date? I’m not sure, but I’m also not sure why the NBA is testing his resolve.

It's crazy how you're against me on this, when I know you feel the same damn way I do.

Why the hell do they think it's necessary to make a team play the 25th AND the 26th? Some of these guys need a day to at least be with their families man.

Well, pay me $5-20M per year and I'll find a way to make Christmas work on the 27th, lol.

Bucks having their season opener at home for the first time since 1984 (supposedly; I didn't look it up to confirm).

Got a game on TNT for once too.

No doubt, I would too, but like I said, is it necessary to make them play both days? And on the 23rd?

Is it normal for team hosting ASG to not play at home around time for the ASG? Cause to me it looks weird not having Raptors play a single home game in February before the all star break, when they're the ones hosting it.
