Man, it's the preseason. Playing 41 minutes is asking for a freak injury. 35pts is just crazy. I think Kobe set the record for most minutes and points in a preseason game.

peja would be ideal, but they cant get him, unless they give up odom(most likely)

so how this happens, i dont know...he is signed for the next seasons, with a player option for a third...making roughly 7.5 yearly

his game would compliment kobes well, and peja will get his open shots off of drive and dish...it could be a perfect marriage(uh huh, heard that before)

a third team would have to be involved though

You have to remember MJ was a selfish player until he got older, plus you cant answer a question like that, "he would of did this, he would of did that" ...flat out you dont know because it never was a reality for Michael to be second fiddle ...

MJ wasnt a selfish player into his 8th year and surely not in the finals.

Kobe wants to be the best, by anyway possible, you cant fault his desire and ambition, you can question his methods but not his motive for doing it ...

Oh he wants to be the best even at the expense of others. Just ask Shaq. Lots of people want to be the best

yes Tmac and KG maybe "more" physically gifted, but I dont think they can match his competitive drive, KG is close but Kobe is Jordanlike in that aspect ... his workethic in incredible too, I feel if not for the "charges" last year due to his bad judgement, he would of been a better player last year, with so many distractions and what not, yes it was self inflicted but some of those situations he performed in was crazy, his clutch factor has gone through the roof IMO ...

Clutch last year meant nothing when he couldn't get past Tayshaun Prince right?

I expect him to hit the wieghts again, never bought that BS excuse that he got slower so he wanted to drop wieght, he was stressed and had everything on his mind and the last thing on it was a "gym" ...

          [b] noone's fault but his own[B]

Kobe has everyones attention now, in a basketball manner, he has the stage, its a challenge Im sure he'll meet head on, and if he continues his work ethic, and with the distractions gone watch out ...

He's already acknowledge as a great player, and won 3 rings with Shaq, what are we watching out for?

EDIT : I was just thinking about his rationale, and I would of done close to the same thing, if he continued on with Shaq for the rest of his career, he would always be in the shadow of the Shaq ...

Right, screw your team, hate the coach, snitch on your teammate, and act like you didnt do a thing all for what? Becuase "I'm tired of being a sidekick" no matter if it won you rings or not

by him wanting his own team, wanting to be the go to guy, what is so wrong with that, he's already won 3 rings he wants to test his talent, sometimes its not always about the team, I know its hard for some to swallow, but he wants to test his ability see how far he can lead a team, he's being villified for that, I totally understand what he wants and is trying to do ...

Just how it all went down, and you know it was wrong. Amazing that you defend it when you know it wasnt right

If I had his type of talent I would want the same, some guys dont want to be the robin ot a sidekick, they want to be superman, while some dont have the talent to do it he obviously does ...

He's been priveledged all of his life and he wants even more. Spoiled and selfish I'd say

If thats a 100% valid statement then why was he crying when they lost to the spurs 2 years back, if only cared about him and not the team, he would of been happy to lose so they would switch things up right !?

Oh please, he cried like a girl because the Spurs whooped their behinds, that's sad

that to me showed a passion for the game, some would call him a "punk" but I gave him respect for that, showing the love he has for winning team or not
So showing passion means to cry when you get whooped? Wow. I guess noone but him and Fisher has love for the game then.

                  HMcCoy]MY. MAN. JORDAN.

                  Whatup cousin?

Let it go, bro. Kobe is the most disliked player in the history of sports, and no matter what he does, accomplishes, wins or proves...there wil be a camp of people turned off by his arrogance(and yes he's an arrogant prick) and jaded in their assessment. Kobe is basketball's Barry Bonds or Ty Cobb, unlikable characters whos asses will be kissed beyond belief once they die.

Everyone recognizes his skill, but that doesnt mean he's well liked by all. He comes off as a certain way, and it's his own fault. There are too many people even those around him that wouldnt disagree

The hipocrisy is that there was no anger when T-Mac left the up and coming Raptors to be a #1 option(selfish?)

Well, he didnt screw Vince and threaten the organization in the process. From what I know, it wasnt a sin to sign with another team when your contract was up

No one was angry when MJ ran every single Chicago Bull player AND coach out of town for about...oh 3 years or so(selfish?),

MJ led the Bulls to 6 rings, without screwing his teammates and having them traded

No one was angry when Shaq came to EVERY camp fat as fark and out of shape, talkin' about feed the big dog or he won't play no D (selfish?...or just hungry?). Give me a break. Everybody gets a pass but the one MF who consistently played at a "best-in-the-league" level when it mattered.

No matter how you slice it, he was still the MDE, the best player on the team, and couldnt be stopped, and led the team to 3 finals and championships

Bottom line, The Lakers will be no less successful than any other 1.5 superstar team has been. Keep praying for his downfall boys, 'cause y'all are going to all be MAD. AS. HELL once the Lakers aquire Peja and a shot-blocking center...once project Kobe is FULLY up and running.

Peja wont be in LA, unless you'd like to give up LO

meh...typing this was a waste of kinetic energy. Haters will be unrelenting haters.

Again amazing that because people dont view Kobe in the same light as you are labeled haters. At some point you have to realize he isnt looked at as favorable in the populace as you guys look at him
