So do you think that’s legit? what would you expect to get back in return for 4 + Parsons ?

I would expect almost nothing, apparently the asking price is going to be steep, they want someone young and established so basically someone that's actually worth what they are paying Parsons.. King says the Bulls should jump on it, would probably take LaVine.

I don’t think anyone is going to give them what it sounds like they want. Maybe they would take significantly less to move back just a few spots in the draft to still get a good pick but gain flexibilty. Idk.

If true the hawks would def call them I just don’t think it would happen the offer would prob look like this

              Schroder or baze
              #19
              Collins or prince
Then maybe like 30 or 34

              For

              Parsons And 4th

Guess it would depend on how highly they thought of Bazemore. Don’t think Schroeder is what they’re looking for if keeping it rollin with Conley and Gasol is the plan.

Yeah, no. I’d give them the 7 and Valentine or Portis or Lopez. They’re desperate to get rid of Parsons’ contract and/or not sold on anybody at 4 and want to move back. They ain’t getting Lavine to get rid of almost 50 million dollars over the next two years of Parsons. If that’s what it takes to get up to four, if I’m the Bulls I tell them to kick rocks and make sure I kick the door so it hits them in the *** on the way out.

LaVine is a RFA this offseason isn't he? So they wouldn't be able to trade him anyways. I'm guessing this is one of those cases where Memphis is considering all of their options and a reporter heard that this was one of the options they briefly considered and blew it up into a big story. If the Grizzlies are hellbent on getting back to the playoffs for whatever reason, I could see them considering guys like DeRozan, Love, or McCollum for Parsons + 4, but it seems like a really terrible idea to me. Grizzlies aren't winning anything significant these next two years anyways, and if they simply keep Parsons' contract those two years, they'll be sitting on like $70+ million in cap space after that.

How y’all talking about about teams taking on Salary Dumps while ignoring the reigning kings?

Any trade involving dumping of salaries and taking on Draft Picks will always involve the Nets somehow.

All this “The Bulls need to get in on this” nonsense is just that. Nonsense.

I asked a hawks writer on twitter and said hawks wouldn't give up the young player also so the offer would be something like Baz + 19 + 30. That doesn't seem like a offer I would except if I am Memphis.

If the price of taking on 1 year of Farieds contract is the 14th pick I would much rather do that then double that amount for a extra year for parsons.

As bad as Parsons contract is they're not just going to give the #4 pick away just to get someone to take Parsons. I would classify that package as giving it away.

Yeah that's why I said they won't find anything remotely close to what they're asking for. Nobody has an established young guy they are willing to trade, and those that do can't take on that kind of money.

The only team that I can even think of is actually Cleveland. If LeBron leaves they could give them Love, or a package of Hood/Clarkson with Hill/Thompson, and get them a piece to help jump-start that rebuild.

Well to be fair, it's Memphis so it's not a big story anyways lol. I think their best option is just a pick swap, but I'm not sure who's willing to do that. The best bet would be if Dallas really wants the guy at 4, Cuban said when Parsons left that he would be back in Dallas at some point, just get him now and swap those picks.

Yeah because whoever they take at 4 could benefit playing alongside Gasol, Conley, Parsons, and learning from those guys. They could just ride out the Parsons contract for these next 3 years and he and Gasol come off about 50 million combined at the same time. Right around the time it would be for them to pay the rookie his first big deal, and have the money to bring in some guys with him.

Bamba isn't a good fit for them. But Bagley would be an All Star there by year 2, and I think Jackson Jr needs another year or two in college so this would give him time to develop if he was the pick as well.

If Philadelphia strikes out on landing someone like a LeBron, PG, etc, they could take on the Parson's contract and swap picks with Memphis.
