    See, Davis Sr,

So does Danny Ainge of all people.

    On in season trade requests:

I’m not a big fan of that.

I wish those things didn’t happen. It’s not what the league is about. It’s not what I would do in that same situation. But it is what some people do.

Just because you’re a star player doesn’t mean that you’re surrounded by the right people that can put you in a position to win. I understand where players are coming from. It’s a short career. And often times, with 30 teams in the NBA nowadays – I think when, I came into the league, there was 23. And back when the Celtics won lots of championships, there were eight. It’s a different world now. And so the stars are more spread out.
Let him find out he can get a good deal for Irving mid season though [emoji38]

But Ainge was talking about publicly demanding trades

We already know he'll make a trade if he needs to, but he doesn't need to run to ESPN about.

Check that new article on The Athletic about the Trade Deadline...wasnt sure if I could post it here since its paid content.

GM's most definitely leak thing's for their advantage too...I'd imagine Danny's no exception.

Billy King used to do it on NetsDaily and it was already confirmed he would even get some trade ideas from there lol.

There is a difference in Davis talking privately to his team and teammates before any of this leaked and trying to keep it in house than there is in the situation where IT was enjoying his off-season thinking everything was fine only to receive a cell phone call telling him he had already been traded blindly...

Seriously OJ? Seriously with this? We gonna play the 'he hasn't specifically said this' angle with this? He doesn't have to say anything because they've spoken with their actions already. The trade "request" a week before the deadline where two teams with two of the better offers were either severely hampered or completely out of the picture until the summer hoping to make the obvious choice the place that his agent clearly has a conflict of interest in. They've already leaked in the media that LA is his preferred destination along with New York and he'll be a rental for Boston. His father running his mouth basically confirms that. But I know, I know it's always just coincidence that this is how things work out. Come on man.

Basically, neither side jas a leg to stand on calling each other out.

I just find the contrast of the two comments thay dropped today ironic.

He said and she said and speculation are all over the place. I’m just saying that if Davis’s side of the story is true then he didn’t handle any of this in an un-loyal way, especially in comparison to the IT situation. And I don’t even fault the Celtics for the IT situation. That’s how the business works.
