They weren't getting good trade value for him. So it was best, in their eyes, to keep him.
All that stuff doesn't matter to you because you're trying to shed some negativity on him.

AI is a selfish ballhog. He's a terrible shooter and he's turn-over prone.

With his size and the way he plays, I don't expect to see AI in the league in 5 years.

AI is a good player but I cringe when people say he's one of the best players the past decade.

name me one player who is a good complimentary player the sixers had when they had AI???????????

he has to shoot because the test of his team wouldnt start in the CBA. there all not as good as they should be.

Ai will play 8 more years than he's done.

I seem to recall AI leading the sixers to the finals and beating the previously undefeated lakers in game 1, but u fail to mention that hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Ai this year is carrying those boys on his back adn trying to make them a contender all by his lonely

I have to agree with jayplaya. Iverson has done more in his last few years "by himself" than anyone in the league. Garnett is a great player, but never took his team to the Finals (not yet anyway). Duncan is the man, but he did have good teammates around him (Robinson, Elliot, etc.). Kobe is a phenom, but he's been riding the coatails of Shaq to get those championships (Kobe was obviously a huge part of that, I'm not saying he can't carry a team or anything). T-Mac is a great talent as well, but never took his team to the Finals. Now T-Mac has Yao to help him out with that. Iverson has done so much in his career with so little. There's no reason to "cringe" when you hear someone say that he has been one of the best players, if not the best, in the last decade or so. Let's face it, the Sixers management will never be smart enough to get Iverson any "immediate" help, and their too cheap to pay for a star to go along with Iverson.

Not smart enough? I agree with you there.

Too cheap? I disagree with you on that. They just don't have any cap money to spend because of not being smart enough with past trades and signings
