So many Lakers fans I'm seeing are legit upset about losing Ingram + Zo rather than being excited about getting a Top 5 player...blows my mind.

I don't love the idea of them having basically no room to fill out a roster after this... They could still sign someone like JJ Redick using the full MLE to start at SG, then they would have the bi annual to sign a solid 6th man type.. But after that it would be basically minimum deals. Which some vets might join a team like that for a year or two.. But mehh, they could do so much better IMO.

Yh i'm seeing that too. Idk why...they're in a much better spot now with AD, plus they could potentially lure some free agents in.

I'm not saying pinch pennies, spend all the money, just spend it on 3-4 guys that total 30 mil instead of 1 guy.

They could have: Kemba + MLE + bi-annual + min deals

Or: JJ, Marcus Morris, Beverly/Rozier/Collison, Dedmon, + MLE + bi-annual + min deals

If AD wanted to be in Boston and you knew you were a lock to re-sign him, would you be upset if you traded Tatum and Brown for him?

Also if AD resigns next year how is that going to look salary cap wise?

Probably around the luxury tax mark, but they would only be there for two years because then LeBron's deal is up. Could also sign anyone they would have hypothetically got to 3 year deals as well.

Absolute best case scenario would be they sign Kemba to 25 a year and not the max.. Personally, I love Kemba, but I don't see him as quite a max guy anyways.. The reverse of that is I believe he truly wants to stay, and I believe he will get max from other teams.

But if they were able to pull that off.. That would leave them with a 5-10 mil guy, the full MLE or at least the half, the bi-annual, and then minimum deals.

Edit: Keeping Hart as a million dollar 6th man or even starting SG if they didn't land any would have been huge as well. Considering his contracted wouldn't have effected getting whoever they will without him.

Honestly it was the plan all along once they signed Lebron. Now the last domino is going to fall soon and the Lakers will contend next year. Good job.

On paper this could possibly end up being LeBron's best team though. By far his best coaching staff, AD the best teammate he's had when you factor in Wade wasn't a threat off ball and could only really defend one position, and he was about 80% of himself after the 2nd year. Assuming it all clicks obviously and they don't have guys starting for them like Rio, Joel Anthony, Tristan Thompson, JR Smith, and actually have players with some versatility...

That said LeBron is older, slower, coming off an injury, apparently isn't getting better at free-throws, and his first year with a completely new team always looks a little down in comparison to his other years.. All that has to be factored in. Do you get "LeBron" LeBron next year.

But if he looks like he did the past couple of years, AD is healthy, they don't completely blow these free agents signings, and the players mesh with each other and the coaches... Should be legit.

Obviously not the end-all-be-all stat by any means but in terms of all-time PER:

                          1. MJ
                          2. LeBron
                          3. AD

And you got fans upset they lost Zo and Ingram for an ELITE TWO-WAY BIG MAN? Lmao man. So many people forget how good AD is. It's still blowing my mind that LeBron/AD are gonna be teammates but it's also blowing my mind so many Lakers fans don't like this trade.

I like the haul for NO. They could have a good young nucleus for the future. I expect them to trade that 4th pick. They definitely will need some shooters off the bench and size in frontcourt. Only thing is thd injury history for Zo and BI. Hopefully they can stay healthy.

Lakers are all in for next year. I get the allure of Kemba and Kyrie. But I rather them spend that money on depth. They could have up to 32.5 mill(if AD waives his trade bonus). They could get 4-5 solid role players with that. I still like Pat Dev, Dedmon, Reddick as options. Add in a couple 3& D wings and backup PG, that is a solid overall team
