The question I always have with guys like him is how do they look within a team system. Lots of good players can flourish when they always have the ball. He’s a good scorer but can he be a good scorer in the league if he’s the 3-4th guy as most rookies are. Can he play off ball. He makes good passes but they are dictated by his scoring drawing attention. Does he make the good/correct passes when they aren’t all kick outs of drop offs from teams helping to him? That’s where guys like KD, Roy, were no brainer choices. They burned you off ball as well as heavy iso.

That's literally my only problem with him right now. Besides the obvious one. He can't jump out of the roof. But that's not a thing I can hold on him.

So the bottom 4 are Min, Hou, Det, and Orl. I think he would fit great on Det.

I really think Detroit needs a PG like Suggs, especially if they are going to keep going with Bey and Grant out on the wings. Really though they need every position and should most likely draft best player available. If they land at 1 definitely have to take Cade.

Minnesota is a mess. Rumors are they might be willing to trade Towns.. one of those rumors was to GS for Wiseman. If they had Edwards, Cade, Wiseman going forward that wouldn’t be too bad.

Orlando will also need just about everything if they start trading off guys like Vuc and Gordon to start over. Already have Fultz, Bamba, Isaac, Cade would make a good fit there too.

All she wrote for Cade. 6/20 and losing to a blah double-digit seed. Whatever. OSU's offense/team is horrible (it's amazing that team was a 4-seed; college hoops is truly terrible) and Cade should look much better in a pro system but his potential remains a big question mark.

Similarly, Bouknight went out with a whimper in one of the worst basketball games I've seen in ages. UConn shot 22% and had 18 offensive rebounds in the first half. Putrid offense across the board. I haven't seen so many missed layups since elementary school/church league games lol.

Yeah, it was pretty bad across the boards there.

I wonder if Bouknight and Ron Harper Jr will enter?...

I think Harper should enter because I'm not sure his draft stock will get higher than it is now. That and I have no idea what to make of him as an NBA prospect and for all I know his rookie deal might be the biggest one he gets.

He's such a tough player to judge. Obviously skilled but has an odd build and isn't explosive, he strong enough to just lower his shoulder at that level but even Zion and Randle weren't straight bullying NBA guys like they were so idk what that looks like at the next level either.

He kinda reminds me of THT a bit. I think THT has a better handle and is much shiftier side to side and stop and go, but Harper has a much better jumpshot. Regardless I think he should enter the draft. I think he's a 2nd round prospect but this year has a chance of going higher and should enter.

Bouknight is 100% gone. He's a lottery pick in every mock I've seen and IMO once teams get him in for workouts his stock will go up.

You're not wrong alot of these kids are just more polished AAU stars.

I think Cade will be a nice pick. But he had an extremely weak tourney and was getting clamped by weaker competition. Not a good look.

For sure. Cade's struggles to get past guys off the dribble reminds me so much of Barrett at Duke, and RJ is already coming around a bit after playing his rookie year with historically bad spacing and being in a one-shooter lineup much of this season. He still has his struggles because he's not a great athlete. At least Cade can stroke it and that'll keep defenses honest and should open up more driving lanes.

I have barely watched any college hoops over the last two years, so I don't feel as confident as I would have been in the past in prognosticating about how players will be as pros, but even watching just highlights of Cade that of course show him at his best, I have never thought of him as someone who should go number 1.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
