John Hollinger reporting that there is widespread speculation that Golden State will shop the #7 pick and Wiseman for an upgrade and he specifically mentioned Pascal Siakam as a player to watch for them.

If you swap George for Dame you get worse defensively. If I'm Portland though and I get rid of my franchise player while signing a rookie head coach, why would I try to still compete rather than blow it up? If Dame goes, might as well unload CJ too. I know Dame would want to go to a contender but these contenders don't have a ton of assets to make it worth Portland's long-term future IMO.

It seems a third team involved may be necessary.

Golden State has Wiseman, a top-10 pick this year to offer...as awful as a Dame/Steph backcourt would be on defense, the thought of trying to stop Dame/Steph/Klay is a nightmare in itself.

Dame to GS may be the best win-win scenario next to Philly. I can't see another contender having enough assets to get a deal done.
While I think it would be a bad fit Atlanta has the pieces to make a trade for dame work and team him with Trae. You have quality vets with big salaries to match (Bogdan, Clint, gallo) then you have younger players (cam, huerter, OO) and all the 1st round picks going forward.

I'm not sure how good of a deal it would be for them.

Sure, they're not going to be a top team next year, but dealing Siakam and getting Wiseman now has them with a need at PF, while their starting C is a guy in his second season who got injured, missing his teams final 20 games. Especially a knee injury to a young big man, not sure if its worth that risk.

We know how injuries have impacted other top young big men. Hopefully Wiseman doesn't wind up that way.

Supposedly it would take Wiggins as well to match salaries.

If GSW did Wiggins,7,14,Wiseman for Siakam+ then I'd love that one more. Especially if they could wind up packaging the 7 and 14 and move up.

If Toronto wants to trade Siakam then I’m sure they would get a offer better or atleast less risky then 7 and wiseman especially if they have to take back Wiggins. This seems like the kind of rumor started by how can we make golden state better.

What team in the NBA is giving up more than Wiseman and 7 for a guy like Siakam??? Especially with how important guys like Embiid, Joker, Gobert, Ayton have looked this year. AD last year.

As someone who's been high on Siakam and gave him tons of praise when everyone else was trying to give it all to Kawhi, Golden State likely wouldn't trade Wiggins straight across for him. Wiggins just had a better season than him in a lesser role and he's a year younger. Why the **** would they do that lol. They would likely find other ways to match salary or get something else back in that trade if Wiggins was involved.

Jazz VP and former GM Dennis Lindsey is stepping down and moving into an advisory role

Apparently there was a rift between him and Snyder. He was upset that guys like Jawan Morgan and Miye Oni didn't get much PT this year, while Snyder felt that they're not NBA rotation guys at this point (he's definitely not wrong)

I'm with Snyder on this. The Suns went out and got Torrey Craig for nothing. Bucks got PJ Tucker. All the Jazz did at the deadline was trade a 2nd for Matt Thomas... who played 134 total minutes for us

I mean, James Harden is 31 and will be 32 before next season starts. The Bulls already don't have **** on their roster but we should trade a 25 year old player who's literally improving his game every single season for the guy that showed up for the season in a fat suit already because he wasn't happy with his situation. But sure, gutting our already crappy roster to get him made sense. Cause Lavine by himself wasn't gonna get that deal done and it's not like we would have been pairing him with Vucevic.

That bit about a disgruntled player is beyond ridiculous. When did Dame become disgruntled?

One real dark horse that could get Dame, Milwaukee.

Now hear me out... Dame and Giannis were reported to have "discussed" teaming up last offseason. Then Giannis signs the supermax.

If Dame really does ask out, I could see him requesting Milwaukee, Portland granting his wish as thanks for all his years with the org., and Milwaukee offering something like Jrue, Donte, Merrill/Nwora/Diakite, and a pick.

EDIT: And if Milwaukee does end up winning the Finals and Dame does in fact request a trade, id put all my money on it.

I dont see Dame requesting a trade period, in some ways he's almost backed himself into a corner with all his strong statements and reactions to players teaming up. It wasn't that long ago he was calling out Paul George for "running from the grind" so to turn around a couple years later and not only request a trade but to an established team in the ECF this year would be a complete joke.
